Barack was the very junior senator on the defensive the entire evening.
After John McCain eloquently (and without notes) discussed the bracelet he wears given to him by the mom of a dead Iraq war vet.
Trying to prove his own support for the troops, Obama chimed in with a pathetic "I've got a bracelet, too," as he looked down at his notes to read the name of the soldier.
It’s hard to think of others when you’re obsessed with self.
I'm so livid at him I can't see straight. He used the bracelet of a deceased Veteran, whose name he couldn't even remember to bolster himself? What a...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn’t bear to watch the whole thing because Hussein makes me want to damage my television.
Every time I checked in, he was saying, “Senator McCain is absolutely right.”

Obama is too scripted and is blatantly lying about his record, especially on the finance section. I’m watching on CNN and they have a audience reaction bar. Surprise, surprise... it is breaking down largely along party lines. People see what they want to see.

With Obama, he just keeps coming back to Bin Laden as though he is the only threat we face.

I’m curious, have you been listening or watching? I have been watching and I don’t feel good about how McCain did. Lehrer says they both got the same amount of time, but i feel like it has been all Obama. Sickening.

Yes I too noticed that he stumbled on the name and had to look at his notes. Was anyone else p*ssed about him talking over McCain so often? I thought it showed him very rude and impatient.
