If this was stated on CNN, then Baraq got his butt kicked.

I'm the only Presidential candidate who has opposed this war from the beginning, and as President I will end it.

Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending.

I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems.
I will not weaponize space.
I will slow our development of future combat systems, and I will institute an independent defense priorities board to insure that the quadriennial defense review is not used to justify unnecessary spending.

Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons.
To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons.
I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material,
and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBM's off air-trigger alert, and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals.

Yes, Lehrer did an exceptional job. Very fair and you hardly noticed he was there. Hope the other moderators are as good.

I think McCain did have a slow start, but was on a roll towards the end, Obama was just flapping his jaw about half truths and agreeing with McCain alot...

” I think the guy’s bright but he’s such an elitist he makes me want to slam my head against the wall. We conservatives have them, too, I guess."

Yes; I believe your right…we do. Look what’s going on in the economy (head slamming against wall).

Did anyone catch Obama saying he was now for off shore drilling? I don’t think McCain even caught it.

The weirdos with the dials in theirs hands think Obama won, what a shock. Have those people EVER been right while grading one of these things?

This just in, Biden thinks Obama won the debate and he didn’t like McCain’s attitude.

Personally I think McCain wiped the floor with the Effete liberal, but what do I know? I was neither “undecided,” nor using a little dial to judge the debate.

Is that the same dial that the judges use during the Olympics to screw up all the boxing matches?

Thank you for your prayers!! There were quite a few of us who were posting our prayers on various threads for Senator McCain.

We need to keep praying, even though the MSM will say Obama won.

Bull! McCain spoke from experience and authority.

Plain and simple, McCain was in command. After a slow start he took control and Obama was struggling to keep up. McCain had Barack rattled at several points but he regained his composure. Barack never shook McCain's command after the first round.

Ask just one question, Which one appeared more Presidential?

It wasn't close. Of course, the Obamanites in the MSM will say Obama did a great job and McCain was too confrontational or some ridiculous nonsense.

”You either win or lose."

He has nadda my friend; you are quite right. However, I thought both did very well in the debate (politically speaking). I also thought that Barry had more smug moments (will not go well with the “Joe six-pack” folks) -of which I am a proud member.

GO Sarah!!!!!!

I think the reason Mac doesn’t look at the man-Child is he knows he lies, about everything.

I noticed McCain’s Reaganesqe voice myself tonight, independent of any other comment or note. I don’t know if it is natural or he’s been developing it. I’d like to believe it’s just the way he talks.

Interesting that you noticed it, too. We can’t both me wrong!:)

"If this was stated on CNN, then Baraq got his butt kicked.

It was, and they used a bunch of '' to show us how McCain was talking down to Obie was a minus. Oh well. I;m going to bed, Hopefully getting 8 hours tonight. Or more. More would be good.

[McCain needs to pound him down (debate-wise, that is) and be done with it. ]

It might take him all three debates, McCain seems to like to start slow, watch things develop, before he starts to pound away. I am hugely relieved, McCain showed he is alert and while not necessarily calm, certainly in control.

I’d call McCain a mudder in track parlance, a horse that can just pound down the opposition in a long sloppy field.

Yes, Obie said he is for offshore drilling but he also clarified that he’s only for it if he’s not against it.

I came away greatly saddened that one of them is going to be the next President.

That said, B. Hussein spouted more liberal claptrap than I thought he would. His use of "invest" when he meant "spend" and "spend" when he mean "lower taxes" was classic old school liberalism at it's worst.

McCain come across as solid, not at all temperamental. (Had I been McCain, I'd have snapped BHO's head off the second or third time he called me by my first name rather than Senator McCain". (Although I would have just called him Barak Hussein, but McCain would never do that).

The the bailout was a given for both of them. They agreed on Climate Change, whatever that might be (since Global Warming has been a no show the last 10 years or so). They agreed on lots of other issues.

I will be reluctantly voting for McCain, but enthusiastically voting for Sarah Palin.

Polls show a big win for Obama though.

That concerns me.

At the same time, I can’t recall what they did with Bush and Kerry in 2004.

the polls where you can vote multiple times are the result of someone voting a hundred times........look to the polls where only one vote is allowed. in any case, NOV 4th is the only poll that counts.
