I saw Angle’s report on Brit’s Special Report show last night. Awesome.

I was really disappointed in Bush’s explanation last night. He should have put the blame squarely where it belonged. I think he has it in his head that being Presidential means that you can’t take political sides. But he doesn’t realize that when he does that he creates a vacuum that the left fills quickly with propaganda.

Rush nailed this a couple of days ago when he pointed out the fact that if there was even one Republican they could name and blame, the media would be all over that person as would the Dims. But, lacking any credible Guilty Republican they are staying away from this story like the plague!

"there is plenty of blame to go around"

For the democrats.

I heard Dasterly Dodd make a statement yesterday (on radio) and his big worry was loss of gov revenue!!

Here we are on the verge of another Great Depression and he's worried about the damn gubmint losing money.

Methinks it's time to storm the bastion..................

You know, I'm tired of hearing it's the Dems' fault. The greedy entitlement/easy credit mentality runs deep in both the Republicans and Democrats. If the Republicans had been screaming for the last 10 years about excesses in the mortgage and financial industries instead of spending like drunken sailors themselves, maybe I'd be willing to lay this whole mess at the feet of the Dems.

The President had the ear of the nation for crying out loud - he could have given dire warnings in his State of the Union address every year. Instead, he touted the success of his administration in increasing the rate of homeownership.

There's plenty of blame to go around.

I wish I had caught that. Rush also has done a very good job of running down how the Dems pushed us into this mess by blocking every measure that attempted to prevent this problem.

Who investigates the investigators? Dodd, Frank and others should be answering questions not asking them.

Can't wait for this all to bubble up.

When you control the amount of heat applied, you will control the amount of "bubble up" that will happen.

Don't worry, the Lame Stream Media will kill this story. A deal will be struck and it will all be swept under the rug haveing done the intended damage to the Republicans.

They will move on to, (create) the next "crisis" that will destroy the McCain/Palin campaign.

Oh, and don't worry, McCain will get no credit what so ever for doing what is right by his/our country. Mark my words.

Sad to say but the goal of the MSM is the same as the democrat party..the destruction of America as we know it. They both seek to turn America into a socialist country with all power held by the government. The fools in the media think they will be exempt from what will come when they will actually be the first.

Agree that “there is plenty of blame to go around” is media-speak for “the democrats caused this”.

I wish there was an ad on the McCain and Co 2005 legislative proposal. Quoting Franks, Dodds and listing contributions to Franks, Dodds and Obama.

“Democrat Charles Schummer and Christopher Dodd BLOCKED the corrective legislative proposals in 2005 to “PREVENT” this crisis in 2008. Allen Greenspan warned these same committee members of this crisis IF they failed to act from this committee in 2005.”
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080923153551AAaWWte

‘’These two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis,’’ said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee.

Very odd to see a Sen. Chris Dodd, of all people, today defiant and outspoken in his regard for the people: if only he had returned (never too late) lavish contributions from Freddie Mac and Frannie Mae (as Senate banking chairman, he was their #1 targeted recipient and raked in over $160,000);

Did Angle explain what was the straw that broke the camel’s back last week? I’m curious about the timing of this latest crisis. Was this annual report time for FM/FM? What triggered it so close to an election cycle, or was it mere coincidence?

He has been reporting on this for days now.

Always the same fact that the dems would prefer to lie.

They and they alone are responsible for forcing banks to give mortgages to unqualified borrowers.

That was just the opening for the crooks running fannie and freddie to dip their hands into the cookie jar that belongs to the taxpayers.

I, too, saw the report on Brit’s show and it was VERY informative. Scary part is that Barney Frank is Chairman of the Financial Committee.
I emailed O’Reilly to suggest he get a copy of this segments. Maybe he’ll stop blaming Pres Bush and call on Barney Frank and Schumer to resign.

McCain/Palin 2008 “Change You Won’t Regret”

© 2008 Lisa Mei Norton & “BigDawg”

Liberals on the left, conservatives on the right
Independents on the fence, the media startin’ fights...
Bloggers posting rumors in place of the facts
Wasting our time with their personal attacks.

Well, here’s a little something we can promise you,
We won’t sit around and “yak” the way the others do.
We put our country first, the way it ought to be
Protect our way of life in the Land of the Free.

*Change is only good if it makes things better
We can make a difference sooner than later
If it’s change you want, real change you’ll get
McCain and Palin for change you won’t regret.

They say that we are lacking the experience to lead
Ignoring all the times we managed to succeed.
Serving with integrity and with a servant’s heart
We’ve shown where we stand on the issues from the start.

We’re gonna shake up Washington, make changes from within
Roll up our sleeves, get to work the day they swear us in.
Oh, there will be times when we don’t all agree...
But some things are worth fighting for ‘cause freedom isn’t free.

*Change is only good if it makes things better
We can make a difference sooner than later
If it’s change you want, real change you’ll get
McCain and Palin for change you won’t regret.

They don’t call us mavericks for nothing
We’ve both been elected to positions of trust.
Challenge the status quo and serve the common good
‘Cause that’s what’s expected of us...

Oh, change is only good if it makes things better
We can make a difference sooner than later
If it’s change you want, real change you’ll get
McCain and Palin for change you won’t regret.

*Change is only good if it makes our country better
You can make a difference by voting in November
If it’s change you want, real change you’ll get
McCain and Palin for change you won’t regret.

*Change is only good if it makes our country better
You can make a difference by voting in November
If it’s change you want, real change you’ll get
McCain and Palin for change you won’t regret...

Alan Greenspan warned, the GOP including McCain tried to act to circumvent the inevitable, the dems (Chris Dodd, Barney Frank et al) blocked to protect their gimme base.

The 109th Congress (2005-2006) had 230 republicans, 202 democrats, and 1 independant in the House of Representatives. Can someone please explain to me how Barney Frank and Chris Dodd blocked the passage of the reform legislation? (Unlike the Senate, the House does not require a vote of 605 of its members to end debate.)
