Barack Obama has seized the reins of economic discontentHorse hockey. If a dem were in the White House, the repub would benefit from economic worries.

Pure liberal propaganda before the important debates. Neither Gallup nor Rasmussen have such numbers.

Let's see how these (useless) polls look after the debate on Friday.
I saw Odumbo on TV yesterday doing his "uhh...uhhh...aaaaand....uhhh..." routine at a presser.

No one trusts the MSM, particularly the McCain supporters. When these folks calling for the poll ID'd themselves as ABC, I wonder how many McCain voters slammed the phone down?
Does anyone think ABC is an honest broker of polls after Charly Gibson's attempted hatchet job on Gov Sarah?

If this were true why is Barry in such a panic.

Plugs will have something to say about that. Barry will take him to the wood shed (again) and McCain will come out as Mr. Clean. Wish they could move the Friday debate up and change the first one to the economy instead of defense.

I just sent this EMail to "Real Clear Politics":
To whom it may concern:
I always enjoy looking at the RCP average , even though I may not always like what I see. However I think your editorial staff ought to consider not including the ABC-WP poll which has Obama up by 9 in your average.
After the treatment of Sarah Palin by Charlie Gibson, I have to wonder about the even handedness of the poll, and how many people hung up the reciever who are McCain supporters when the pollster ID'd themselves as from "ABC". I would if they called me, and I have no probalem doing surveys. However I wouldn't answer ABC's because I don't trust them. I do not think I am alone.
If you do include the ABC in your average, I will manually remove it and do a calculation myself without this Obama push poll.

They oversampled Dems and under-sampled R's and I's.
The disparity should be about 5% between D's and R's but in this poll it is 10%.
This poll was taken between Sept 19-22nd.
Immediately after Wall St news hit and Obama got about a 4-5% bump.
McCain attacked Obama for his crony links to Freddy and Fannie.
And now we see credible pollsters like Rass has it tie and Battleground has it +2 McCain.
Gallup has it +3 on Registered voters. That translates to +1 McCain in likely voters.
This is an old flawed poll.

It’s 38 per cent D to 28 per cent R. It’s a straight party line poll based on the original percentages.

Rasmussen poll:
Nationally, 63% say that McCain is prepared to be President while 44% say the same about Obama.
Among voters not affiliated with either major political party, 71% say McCain is prepared for the Presidency while just 35% say the same about Obama.

The link I saw a few hours was a little different but
Rass 90 day partisan rolling survey has it 38D 33R. I forget the decimal number.
The last time I saw Pew give their partisan survey numbers it was similar.

The game plan is all to obvious. Rerun older polls as NBC did yesterday (Hussein up by 2 in Fla)as well as demographically skewed polls as this one obviously is to pull up his sagging numbers as well as apply a bit of psychological balm to the panicked left.
They see disaster looming in these debates and want a cushion in the averages so they can point to Hussein still being ahead after these debates.
Rasmussen:
Investor confidence has stabilizedat least for the momentafter falling sharply for several days. The economic confidence of those who do not invest was not shaken by the Wall Street events of recent days. As for the political implications, polling conducted last night shows that 47% trust McCain more than Obama on economic issues while 45% trust Obama.

Since nobody really watches ABC or reads the Post, who did they poll? The 7 reporters at the Post and Gibson's make-up dude and stylist.

Would the cretins who answered this biased poll still love Obama if they knew he was on the take from Fannie Mae? The msm will never tell them, of course, but why hasn’t the GOP come out with a nationwide ad that informs people that Dodd, Obama and several others on the banking committees were being paid off by these shady institutions, while McCain did try to introduce a reform bill in 2005? The msm is laying all the blame on Bush, as usual.
To: Reaganez
Follow Rasmussen's poll; he has been the most accurate in the last three Presidential elections.

I don't know about this poll, but I can tell you that at my local watering hole, frequented by construction workers, mechanics, and other hands-on folks, the majority of whom are quite conservative (yeah, we're in Northern Illinois, but 30 miles west of Chicago), the sentiment is that the Republicans are at fault for the market collapse and that Obambi is better able to deal with it than McCain. This is a sea change from last week. I explained to them CRA, Carter's involvement, Clinton's involvement, and the Democrats in Congress’ involvement, and they just shook their heads.
McCain is blowing this thing. He has let the MSM, which is nothing more than the marketing division of the DNC, to steer the story in the direction they want it to go, and Obambi is taking it and running with it. McCain has a golden opportunity to hit the Dems on this issue, and he's not doing it. I swear, McCain is acting as if he wants to lose this thing.
