They oversampled Dems and under-sampled R's and I's.

The disparity should be about 5% between D's and R's but in this poll it is 10%.

This poll was taken between Sept 19-22nd.

Immediately after Wall St news hit and Obama got about a 4-5% bump.

McCain attacked Obama for his crony links to Freddy and Fannie.

And now we see credible pollsters like Rass has it tie and Battleground has it +2 McCain.

Gallup has it +3 on Registered voters. That translates to +1 McCain in likely voters.

This is an old flawed poll.

It’s 38 per cent D to 28 per cent R. It’s a straight party line poll based on the original percentages.

Rasmussen poll:

Nationally, 63% say that McCain is prepared to be President while 44% say the same about Obama.

Among voters not affiliated with either major political party, 71% say McCain is prepared for the Presidency while just 35% say the same about Obama.

Follow Rasmussen's poll; he has been the most accurate in the last three Presidential elections.

The poll also oversampled people of color.

Oversample Dems, oversample Blacks - whatever it takes to get the desired results...

“This poll was taken between Sept 19-22nd. Immediately after Wall St news hit and Obama got about a 4-5% bump”.

The “bump” idea strikes me as complete BS. Do you really think that people change their minds about presidential candidates on a weekly (or daily) basis?

IMO, polling is largely used by the MSM to advance their narrative about how the race is unfolding. They are not reporting news, they are making news to sell papers and their point of view. Some pollsters play along in order to promote their service.
