GREEN BAY, Wis. Hoping to shore up support in his suddenly undependable backyard, Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama flew here Monday to talk about how hed handle economic crises as president.
Recent polls have shown that Wisconsin once pretty solidly in Obamas column is now a statistical dead heat between Obama and Republican John McCain.
You all know that you hold this election in your hands, Sen. Russ Feingold, a Democrat who said he worked on ethics legislation with Obama, told a crowd of about 6,000 cheering Obama fans in the arena next to Lambeau Field.

The shine is wearing off. People are getting past the newness, and realizing this guy isn’t really what he seemed.
I’m still convinced this could be the second coming of George McGovern. Obama really could lose big.

Obama has to campaign in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and Pennsylvania. That's a lot of time spent holding the fort down. Even after two weeks, he's still playing defense and the Gallup poll continues to tick downwards. Obama is not a happy man.

His running mate isn't a big help and this campaign is a far cry from the 50 state campaign he once envisioned. With everything going for him, he could still blow it - despite all the assist from the cheerleading MSM in his corner.

Green Bay was still hung over from the Packers loss to the Dallas Cowboys. They were in no mood to listen to The Messiah.

Yes, Russ, it looks as though they are beginning to understand that fact.

Obama has to campaign in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and Pennsylvania. That's a lot of time spent holding the fort down. That's okay. Obama has Biden in places like Virgina and Ohio to steal those states from McCain. /s

This is the headline coming from Obama’s “hometown” liberal newspaper, the Chicago Sun-Times?
Unreal!

Wisconsin should be a Palin state.

...and this campaign is a far cry from the 50 state campaign he once envisioned. And it's a darn far cry from the 57 state campaign he started.

Did you mean:
this campaign is a far cry from the 57 state campaign he once envisioned.
