Gannett owned website. Headline and link only. Will look for another postable source. The article says the fire chief estimates the crowd today at Palin's rally at 70,000.

Yep! LOL. I had not thought of that, but she won’t be living at the White House. But, I’m sure she will be there to visit quite often!!

LOL! I was all but cured before Palin's nomination. I was so disheartened, I was barely listening to Rush most days.Actually, before Palin became the VP nominee, a whole bunch of us FReepers barely paid attention to the elections. Also, I doubt Jim Robinson felt any need to add servers to the Free Republic because things were somewhat subdued around here.
But once Sarah became the VP nominee, a whole bunch of us FReepers suddenly became interested in the election again. And that's probably why FR started crashing, which prompted JR to order the two new servers.
So, one unsung aspect of the Palin Effect is that she crashed FR.

The article has been edited in the last five minutes to say the Fire Chief estimate was 60,000.

Woo Hoo!!

70,000 is the
population of the town, not the crowd number, but from the camera pan she drew a large crowd.
I thought she rushed through the speech a bit and talked on top of the crowd instead of letting them have some fun (a few times) but it was still good.

Really? That’s interesting, isn’t it?
Well...whatever, it was a buncha’ people. ;)

Fabulous news! Has Fox reported on the crowds? Watch the Drive-Bys tomorrow come out and praise Barry and Biden for doing smaller venues and how it's much more meaningful to voters.

I believe I read at Politico that they’ve already, in essence, written off Florida.

KG, I was listening to Fox News the other night ( I was in another room and could not see the video) and could have sworn I heard Tony talking, the inflection and the content sounded so like Tony. When I ran into the living room to see what was on it was Griff Jenkins aka surferboy.

Me too. I miss Tony. I bet he’s smiling down from Heaven. I wish he was here!

I think Griff was fairly close with Tony. He was very broken up on-air the weekend after he passed.

70,000!!! Great news.
That should make douchebag Andrew Sullivan’s rear hurt.
