ALERT - Pakistan: the Czech ambassador was killed
PRAGUE - The Czech Republic's ambassador to Pakistan, which had called for help from the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad shortly after the attack Saturday, died Sunday announced in Prague public television CT 24.
Prayers. bkmark.
Sooner or later the rest of the world will come around and realize that Muslims are evil.
I don’t know what it’s going to take but its amazing that so many people in this world just don’t get it.
My prayers are with the victims and their loved ones.
The muzzies make Satan worshipers look like amateurs.
There was much speculation yesterday about the target of these attacks, if any. The Marriott was apparently the hotel of choice for most non-Pakistani visitors, so I guess the Muslims had a fairly good chance of getting some European or American, regardless of who their target was.
Among the rumors (in the foreign press) was one that the new Paki president and prime minister had planned on attending a Ramadan banquet being held there, but changed their plans at the last minute. There were also US State Dept people staying in the hotel, and a group of CIA or security people were supposedly staying there as well.
It’s very sad, in any case. I wish Islam could do something other than destroy, but that’s all it’s ever done.
Seems like Foreign policy is going to come to the front again.
The situation in Pakistan is descending into chaos as we speak, the new Govt i dont think knows how to handle the new wave of fundamentalist violence and I am sure Pakistan is going to collapse soon into huge chaos.
Quite how we deal with a nuclear state descending into complete utter chaos is going to be hard and with it on Indias doorstep, if it does collapse, either the indians will have to enter or the UN and US will or strategic air bombing of nuclear installations from Afghanistan.
It is thought there is extreme Taliban influence and we may have no option if it looks like Taliban backed fundamentalists want the country.
You’re right about the new government. It issues contradictory statements on each day.
And some of the generals in the Pakistan army are antagonizing the situation with anti-U.S. statements. Their top guy, General Kayani, has been implicated in the bombing of the Indian embassy in Kabul a few months ago, so he can no longer be trusted - but we have to deal with him anyway.
I’ve been reading some Pakistan news media and blogs tonight.
There are a few level-headed people there who see the situation as we do, and want the U.S. to help Pakistan to get rid of the terrorists.
Some others are calling for war against the U.S., or for Pakistan to ally itself with China.
The whole country seems to be descending into chaos, anarchy and criminality.
And all the while the new leading of Pokiston (O’s pronunciation) is demanding we honor their sovereign territory and not attack terror camps in the mountains.
Last night I thought it might be the opportunity of taking out Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal and then realised we might actually have to do it.
Pakistan really is in trouble, there’s too much going on and too much inside fighting. Many believe Butto’s husband should not be in charge and I bet he’s dead within a month.
We have many factions at work here, One party fighting the other party and the taliban backed rebels destabilizing both.
Divide and conquer, you know thats the plan.
At least two American servicemen are dead.
