I assume every Freeper pays taxes, except for the Freeper trolls who come over from DU
I'm sure they pay more than we do, since they are such...patriots.

Me too

For sure- though I did read the Dems have backed off the plan they wanted to bail out “Main St” by adding on ANOTHER economic stimulus package to this bill they’re working on this weekend.
I hope to hell someone is watching what’s going into this bill.

I think he's far enough out there on the right that he is in that zone where it is sometimes hard to tell the difference.

Huckabee who has been looking for a Job since before the bailouts, is talking about business... whatever happened to him being a Reverand?
To: HokieMom
I have been listening to him for a long time. He has a very successful radio program, has written books, and now has a show on the Fox Business Channel. His philosophy is pretty sound.

FoxNews has changed their streaming link, so I don’t know if they stream from their website any more.
However, there is a feed being broadcast at this link:

We have shares in Fidelity Magellan fund and it has a position in AIG as of the last announcement in June I think. If they sold out early, no problem If they still hold it, probably mot good.

Ron Paul a radical lefty? Maybe you should learn a little bit babe. My 'radical lefty' description was in reference to the first Dem congressman I commented on... I can see how my quick, live thread commentary was unclear, imprecise and confusing. I know Ron Paul is a libertarian. Thanks for calling me 'babe' though!

I think he's far enough out there on the right that he is in that zone where it is sometimes hard to tell the difference. My understanding of Libertarianism is it does ascribe to left of center views on some issues. In this case, though, I was referring to the first Dem congressman, whoever he was. His statements were more heat than light and unintelligible.

Any Freeper here hurt by these finanical institutions money woes?
Being on a fixed income, and part of that being an annuity that is based on mutual funds, I am directly affected each month.
Many who supplement their incomes via these kinds of financial vehicles are impacted. Even money market accounts will be hurt. It will ripple through the whole economic system.

Ron Paul a radical lefty? Maybe you should learn a little bit babe. You are right, he is a 'moderate libertarian' according to his voting record at OnTheIssues. His American Conservative Union rating is the same as John McCain's (83% lifetime) and his CATO rating is to the left of McCain by a few points.
You can't call him 'Radical' when he hasn't accomplished anything in his decades in office.. Useless moderate libertarian would probably be a better definition.
