This guy nails it!
“Bulls & Bears” team up now. Free market guy says this bailout was necessary.
What kills me , is that in their arguements concerning Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Lehman Brothers, is how they try to include the panic to the middle class and the poor.
The Middle Class who lives from paycheck to paycheck is not invested in any exotic mortgage companies, and the poor do not have any money to lose anyway.
I would be surprised to find that any Freeper was affected by the Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, or Lehman Brothers fiascos.
Any Freeper here hurt by these finanical institutions money woes?
How on earth do you link to this feed?
Well- here’s why. Everyone who has a retirement account, a pension, a 401K are ALL affected- because of what those are invested in..
IIRC, it was Dagen McDowell on Fox&Friends this morning who was defending the Wallstreeters by saying they were hurting too, because their stock holdings are losing money.
Awwwww.
I do know that John Kerry, Teresa Heinz and Nancy Pelosi lost big time in Lehman Brothers investing.. millions, but then they had millions and millions to invest in exotic mortgages, and did not invest wisely.
It’s live on FOX NEWS if you have cable.
Let me check if they’re streaming.
I wanted to get the thread up quickly so I didn’t double check- sorry.
I own my home. I have no debt. No loans. I'm only hurt if I sell investments now.....
I bet blubbering Bernie lost his shirt with Lehman Brothers falling.
Every Freeper will be affected by the current and impending financial bailouts paid for by the US Taxpayer sometime in the future
I assume every Freeper pays taxes, except for the Freeper trolls who come over from DU
Who was the guy who was just on? He said 401(k)’s and those with retirement funds who keep funding them will be fine because Home Depot, etc. are doing fine. It’s only the banks who are hurting.
Oh yeah- there are some freepers hurting- I read posts from several of them in the last few days.
Money market funds were going down the tubes.
I do not have a 401k, I just have IRAs, and Roth IRA’s invested in what I want them invested in.
Dave Ramsey
What Ramsey said is pretty sound.

Read this- gives some background and reason why so much is affected.
