I'm stunned the Democrats are stunned! They should be rooting for the Great Depression! Why aren't they dancing in the streets and celebrating? This is HUGH!

Democrats don’t get “somber” over problems that affect their country. Democrats get “somber” when they know something is going to cost them their power.

I wondered why Pelosi was so subdued last night and failed to turn her press statement into an attack on President Bush. I thought perhaps she’d had a botox treatment that day.

When will they step up and accept the blame for this FIASCO? I loathe these people.

Now this was truly a “chickens-coming-home-to-roost” moment.
These professional vote-buyers will have others in the not-too-distant future when Medicare goes belly up and then the true tsunami when the great Democrat Ponzi scheme of Social Security goes bust.
I’m sure Charlie and Chris plan on retiring in splendor (they are not covered by Medicare or Social Security) before those fiscal hurricanes hit D.C.

These Democrats are such drama queens, making it sound like they saved the republic.

Senator Charles E. Schumer, Democrat of New York...Senator Christopher J. Dodd...

There are the root causes of the problem!

Given the “braintrust” in Congress currently, I’m sure they would’ve responded similarly if Bernanke was teaching them long division.

“We have never heard language like this.”

Maybe you would have heard language like this for the last ten years, if you were doing your effing job all that time.

And no matter how scary and somber the meeting was, I am 100% positive the Democrats walked out of that meeting not thinking of ways to manage the crisis, but thinking of ways to exploit it politically.

Dodd, Schumer, Pelosi, a freaking rogue's gallery of political hacks and grifters.

And he is clueless.

“You have the credit lines in America, which are the lifeblood of the economy, frozen.” Mr. Schumer said. “That hasn’t happened before. It’s a brave new world. You are in uncharted territory, but the one thing you do know is you can’t leave them frozen or the economy will just head south at a rapid rate.”

You mean to say Chuck, stand up please, that the economy ISN'T SOUTH NOW................

Among the potential steps Congress can take include approving legislation to allow bankruptcy judges to modify the terms of primary mortgages — authority that the bankruptcy laws do not currently allow and that the banking industry has strenuously opposed.

Nobody should give a crap at this point what the banking industry opposes. It's like a preschooler who keeps playing with matches despite lectures and time-outs, and then moves on to actually starting fires around the house, howling "I do NOT need a spanking and I do NOT need a nanny!"

Normally the Democrat response would be to hold a series of investigations but they know how many Democrats are on the boards of these companies and how many have ties to their campaigns.

“When you listened to him describe it you gulped," said Senator Charles E. Schumer, Democrat of New York.

It's to bad you didn't swallow your tongue, Chuck.

Fools, fools and damned fools.

The Socialists all know very well what they are doing and where it will lead the country.

The biggest problem is stupid people who proclaim they are conservatives acting like the other side is so stupid they don’t understand what they are doing or the effects it will or is having on the country.

Hitler took over Germany when the economy was in the tank, same with Stalin and many other Left-wing fruit cakes.

Wake up, they KNOW what they are doing!

Admit that one point and everything else will start to become clear.
