Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois today exhorted his supporters to get extremely aggressive in their communities to persuade their neighbors to vote for Obama in November.
Speaking to a crowd in Elko, Nevada, Obama was quoted by the AP as urging the people to be his 'ambassadors':
"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.
"And if they tell you that, 'Well, we're not sure where he stands on guns.' I want you to say, 'He believes in the Second Amendment.' If they tell you, 'Well, he's going to raise your taxes,' you say, 'No, he's not, he's going lower them.' You are my ambassadors. You guys are the ones who can make the case."
Obama has campaigned as a uniter. One can't help but wonder how neighbors will react to people getting up in their faces arguing to them to vote for Obama and how many friendships will be ruined by Obama this fall.
No one comes to my house pushing propaganda without hearing twice as much of mine. I turn the whole thing around and make them feel rude for trying to get away from me. I let them know I think they’re commies too and I do it with a smile and a friendly attitude.
The problem we have, is that there are no Republicans who have the balls to drive the stake through the heart of the beast when the opportunity presents itself.
Very frustrating indeed...
“I want you to argue with them and get in their face.”
Where I live, the rest of the sentence would logically follow with “and get your face punched or your @ss shot.”
One local was stupid enough to put an 0 sign in his yard in a wildly Republican area.
Good on him.
Now we know exactly who and what he is.
You all outta bubblegum?.....;]
“the Democrats have gotten much more strident with their talking points”
Are they using their “squeaky voices” again?.....:)
I’m encouraged in reading the internals of these polls about how many people identify themselves at least in part as “conservative” it’s generally almost double the numbers that identify themselves at least in part as “liberal”.
My larger point was that until recently there was NOWHERE (almost) to get the news and the alternative viewpoint to the MainStreamOrbofKnowledge. My mother’s generation isn’t going on computers and reading views from all over the landscape, they get their paper and watch the networks.
20 years from now almost no one will not know how to use a computer and will be exposed to the conservative viewpoint.
I’d vote for Palin if she were a man. Would you vote for Obama if he were white?
Amen to that!
BANG, ZOOM, STRAIGHT TO THE MOON!!!
Obama has learned so very well from Jeremiah Wright.
bttt
Saw the smack down of Alan, Alan, Alan...excellent. H is insufferable.
H = He
I've spoken to small groups on technical subjects without any problems, I think in part because the audience is non-hostile and interested in learning, but I must admit to a certain degree of nervousness talking up to this bunch.
The massive amount of left-wing lunacy being spewed helped raise my ire and it suddenly hit me that I really didn't care what these people thought of me, they were, after-all just a bunch of liberal lackbrains.
They want to get in our faces?. I have no doubts we can give it back in spades, and have fun doing so at the same time.
I cannot watch Alan anymore. He used to be a decent guy (most of the time), but now he is little more than a human DNC talking point machine.
The problem is that most people are not political junkies like we are. They get their news from CNN, or the 3 networks. So they don’t get the same information that we do. They are hearing just good things about Obama.
Not a chance.
I’m not worried about him winning the election. I don’t think he can do that. I am worried about him stealing it or organizing a coup against the government.
Exactly! Just like Clinton refused to take out Osama whan he was presented so many chances. Another thing I predict, if he does lose the election, he will make a mockery of our peaceful transition system. He will drag it out, incite riots and turn our election process into a shambles and our politically correct leaders will do everything possible to accomodate him and “be fair”. There will be many lawsuits and liberal judges legislating from the bench. Its going to be a nightmare.
“”the Democrats have gotten much more strident with their talking points. I have noticed this not only on televisoin and on the Internet, but also with real live Democrats who are fierce Obama partisans. “”...I loved the way Karl Rove let Alan Combs have it tonight.’’’’’
I agree on both points. Rove told Combs he is embarassing himself, rather than calling him an outright shill and liar.
I don’t hang with Dems or go to their websites (except for peeking at PUMa)
However, I pass a group of protesters on the weekend and their numbers are growing and taking on a racial stance which is getting ugly. They’re white libtards holding signs accusing and insinuating racism. I’m beginning to wonder if they are precursors to those waving the “BLACK POWER “ signs and fists of rage that were popular in this generations hayday.
What is really weird is that the protest intersection sits in suburbia and they seem to get virtually no feedback from the drivers. They are ignored, yet they keep turning out in the same old spot and make fools of themselves.
can u believe this BS
