JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) Alaska's attorney general says state employees subpoenaed in the investigation of Gov. Sarah Palin will not testify.
In a letter to the Democratic state senator overseeing the investigation, Attorney General Talis Colberg asks that the subpoenas be withdrawn. He also says the employees will not appear before the investigator unless either the full state Senate or the entire Alaska Legislature votes to compel their testimony.

It’s not just you. FR seems to have the hiccups lately!!! Probably due to high traffic flow.
The attoeney general is republican? Does this mean Sarah won’t testify either?
It is my fervent hope that what I’m seeing from the McCain/Palin team is the real thing. This is so cool. It appears they let the dems, and the shill media, run with this thing for three weeks without really mounting a counter attack. The Alaskan dem kangaroo court, appropo of no legal standing to do so, set up its own inquisition. Now they’re getting squashed. No witnesses, no “investigatiion” and no place to go. Democrats have tried setting up two unelected shadow governments during the Bush Administration. The first was when Pelosi tried to be secretary of state during her much herelded Mid East trip. The second was when Onada tried to cut a deal with the Iraqi government to delay signing a treaty with US until he was in office. This is clearly illegal. But Bush will not step up to the plate and prosecute. He has been, except for the initial attack on Afghanistan and tax cuts, a collosal disappointment.
Let’s not forget attorneygate. They bashed Bush pretty good for firing his own at-will US attornies.
We should of known it would be somebody named “French.”
Is there a chance some of the pubs would stand with the rats?
It was rhetorical, but it works either way. ;)
And not a peep when the Rapist fired every sitting US attorney on taking office.
Don't worry. Gov. Palin's release of numerous emails is just now hitting the airwaves and it plainly shows that the issue was not the goofball trooper but that it was an issue of insubordination by the commissioner who was repeatedly going around her and behind her back to obtain funding for his pet projects. The MSM can whine all they want but the facts will be hit home repeatedly by McCain/Palin. The issue will be reduced to a whimper.
The polls have shown Obama pulled to a tie with McCain in the past week. Do you think McCain/Palin will gain again if this investigation dies?
He needs to keep it up and then some.
