A Friday hearing revealed that an Obama partisan has manipulated an independent investigators subpoena list of a controversial inquiry against GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
The investigation is intended to determine whether Palin abused her office by firing Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. Palin says she fired him over budget issues. Her foes believe the firing was due to Monegans unwillingness to fire Palins former brother-in-law State Trooper Mike Wooten, a man who has admitted to tasering his stepson, illegally shooting a moose and has been accused of threatening his former father-in-law with violence and drinking in his police car.
Investigator Steven Branchflower admitted he had ceded control of his subpoena list to Sen. Hollis French (D.) during Alaskas Joint Judiciary Committee September 12 hearing that was scheduled to approve subpoena requests. [Audio coming shortly.] French is a partisan who has endorsed Palins Democratic presidential ticket rival Barack Obama for president and is actively supporting his candidacy.

Is Ronnie Earle on his way to AK?
Just the Good Old Boys doing what Good Old Boys do when a woman steps on their toes.
“Just the Good Old Boys doing what Good Old Boys do when a woman steps on their toes.”
bttt
Both Monegan and Wooten have denied they were wronged.
Why doesnt the state of Alaksa take this guy “French” in hand?
He is screwing with an investigation that the Governor REQUESTED, and it cost the Alaska taxpayers $100,000 upfront. Maybe they ought to start subtracting per diem from French’s paycheck for every day this drags out.
wouldn't it just be awful if an obama partisan deep sixed your lipstick wearing pig?
French has already predicted that the results of the investigation will be embarrassing to Palin. Obviously they’ve already reached their conclusion, and just need to go through the motions of collecting the evidence to support it.
Where’s the Republican “army of lawyers”? They should be up there contesting every step of the process. Take a page from the Dem’s playbook and give this French guy the same treatment Ken Starr got.
OMG the fix is in :(
Well, maybe someone on our side needs to start publishing stupid headlines to desensitize the public- the more garish and ridiculous the accusations and rumors, the better
Business and Professional Positions:
Co-owner, French Apartments, 1989-present; lead operator, ARCO, 1991-1992; production operator, ARCO, 1984-1990, Shell Oil Company, 1980-1984.
All smear, all the time.
Hollis French has has his fingerprints all over this so-called independent investigation since it began. How can they say this is a fair investigation when it’s obvious, a partisan Democrat is running it? Had President Bush or Vice President Cheney interfered in the slightest way into Fitzerald’s investigation of the Plame affair, they would have been hit with criminal charges.
There, that's better.
We need Alaska freepers to do due diligence on these so called reps of the people.
This is obviously just a political move by Alaskan Rats at the direction of The National Rats. It’s an excuse to dig, and to then throw whatever is dug up against the wall and see if any of it sticks.
It seems the very essence of this investigation will go to intent. She had the power and authority to hire and fire. I have no idea how they could presume to prove her intentions or reasoning in this matter. Whatever the reason, it wouldn’t matter to me or the majority of Americans. If he didn’t have enough sense and/or integrity to fire a trooper who had tasered a child; his stupid a$$ needed firing.
Let me write that again, “he tasered a child”. The obvious question to the Rats trying to make political hay of this is: “Is this a man you want carrying a firearm, sworn to serve and protect, having great vested authority over the citizenry?” I think she was right, whatever her intent and I do not see a way to prove her intent.
“Well, maybe someone on our side needs to start publishing stupid headlines to desensitize the public- the more garish and ridiculous the accusations and rumors, the better”
I am absolutely in favor of that approach, but IMO it would have to take the form of subtle, nuanced rumors, fed in small strategic doses to the Kos & DU, etc; Not an avalanche, just seeds on insanely fertile ground. As we’ve seen a dozen times, they will pick up and run with literally anything, the more questionable the source the better!
