Sound not synchronized on Palin Gibson interview?

Posted on 09/11/2008 3:35:40 PM PDT by KayEyeDoubleDee

Is it just my local cable tv company, or is the ABC sound not synchronized with the lip movements?

If this is national, it's really unforgivable.

When he asked about traveling outside of the country....

&&&
I loved her answer there. She mentioned how some politicians in DC have had many opportunities to travel. That jerk Gibson looks down his nose at Palin because she is not a member of the pampered elite like he and Obama are.

Her best answers about...Russia?

Yeah, just what every American wants to hear - going to war with Russia.

Yikes.

“No, she let him define it. She was damned smart...”
Agreed, I think she did very well. I don’t think people are used to seeing her in a one on one environment. Obviously she can’t be the same person she was addressing 40 milliion people, while talking to Charlie. IMO

“The narrative of ditzy, religous zealot, ‘moose shooter’ that they are trying to put out is blowing up.”

Yep....it was a rather silly narrative to attempt in the first place.

and to think after she left this condescending interview, she ran over to send off the military men about to deploy, one of which is her son. So she left the flea to go about the business of Alaska's Governor, the business of saying goodbye to her son, and the business of running to be the next VP of the United States. In comparison Charlie and the rest of these snaky MSM hit job folks are just fleas on the Lion. I hope the American people see this and see the lies and poor judgment and inexperience of Obama.

The Bush Doctrine question was to catch her. She handled that one right. She is not a Bush clone. That’s what they wanted.

I haven't seen the interview yet, and am just reading the comments...but you are absolutely right. If she had said--oh yes, love that Bush Doctrine! the headlines tomorrow would scream that she is four more years of Bush.

People tend to notice those things, if Gibson was a jerk, it will show, the camera never blinks, but the editing room floor is tough to escape from...

I hear she did fine, which means the Koz Kidz will be in a frenzy at the moment....the more they scream war monger, the better for Sarah Palin...

Let them keep playing this interview. I think this shows the media completely in the Obama corner. You would NEVER see this behavior, interrogation toward “The One” or questioning the record, statements of Biden. Charlie did not come across well, no siree.

-- Debate moderator Gwen Iffel is going to be in the tank for Obama so she can expect no fairness there. --

I don't think she expects or needs fairness from the interviewer or debate moderator. She knows where she stands on issues, and she's skilled enough at communicating her points. I think all she needs is a little more time in this element of national politics, and she'll find herself more confident as she handles the "newness" of the venue.

She is a natural, and she comes off as frank and honest. That alone will draw the approval of many fence-sitting voters.

I just watched the clip over at ABC - the production values were just terrible.

Did you notice how Charlie got the best seat and Sarah was in the chair with the bad camera angles. Nice showcase for her gams, Charlie - or is that what you were angling for?

And yes, the editing in the clip was awful.

That is not fair. I bet if everyone who reads the Free Republic were to describe their concept of the Bush Doctrine, you would get many different answers. Some of those answers might differ materially. And most of us are in agreement with a lot of the Bush Doctrine.

You would probably get an even more entertaining set of answers on DU.

She didn't do well in the first segment but I thought she was much better and more like herself in the second. When Gibson asked if she subscribed to the Bush doctrine, she should have said, “If I had credible evidence that a 9/11 style terrorist attack was going to take place and was being planned on foreign soil, I would be remiss in my responsibility to allow such an event from occurring. Would you agree Charlie?”

Yeah, just what every American wants to hear - going to war with Russia.

It's not her fault that Article Five of the NATO Treaty obligates all members to defend any other member that comes under attack. Her answer was absolutely correct.

Bush Doctrine means several things (look it up), and the one “Charlie” quoted was only one - and the most controversial - hit before being hit. I had the same thought she did, this is a trick question, what part are you talking about.

Saw both segments - she did OK, didn’t fall in the obvious traps, but did repeat the same answer a few times to avoid answering questions - like invading Pakistan. All in all, not bad at all if you see the whole thing.

I thought she did quite well... and she was in control... and answered about Iraq and Afghanistan perfectly. Charlie never laid a glove on her. She destroyed him with her ready to lead and the GOD question. Ronnie could have done no better.

“I better interview would have had her going fishing with Sarah in her element.”
Yea her and Charlie in a Bass boat hooking up some bait. That would have been a site to see.

Gibson’s body language is a disgrace. When she spoke of her son joining the military, Gibson looked visibly disgusted, almost shaking himself off.
