Pro-Abortion Leaders Consider McCain and Palin So Extreme, Words Fail Them

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The head honchos at NARAL believe John McCain and Sarah Palin are so extreme on abortion, because they oppose it, that they can't come up with the right words to bash the candidates. As a result, NARAL has sponsored a new contest for its pro-abortion members to design a new slogan.

The idea is for the abortion advocates to come up with the catchiest way of slamming McCain and Palin for wanting to protect women and unborn children.

"There is so much wrong with the McCain-Palin ticket that we hardly know where to begin. We've been trying to come up with some ideas—will you help us sum up what this ticket means for a woman's right to choose?" NARAL big-wig Nancy Keenan wrote in an email today.

"Enter our bumper sticker slogan contest today and help us spread the word about the McCain-Palin ticket and the harm they'd bring," Keenan says.

Apparently, Keenan is worried about the kind of submissions the abortion activists will send, so she includes some instructions: "Be funny, creative, critical—and keep it clean."

NARAL backers will have a chance to vote on the top correlatives next week.

"We all need to put our heads together on this," Keenan says.

Yet, reading the NARAL email, it appears Keenan has plenty to say about McCain and Palin and their pro-life views.

"Just when we thought John McCain couldn't do another thing to stand in the way of women's reproductive rights, he nominated anti-choice extremist Sarah Palin to be his running mate," she says.

Keenan also points out the kind of comments she doesn't like.

She complains about McCain's comments at the Saddleback Forum a few weeks ago ("I will be a pro-life president and this presidency will have pro-life policies.") and Palin's comments to Alaska Right to Life when she ran for lieutenant governor in 2002 (that she is "pro-life as any candidate can be").

"The only 'change' McCain and Palin are serious about is overturning Roe v. Wade," Keenan says.

The NARAL head also complained, for a second time, that Palin was a member of Feminists for Life, a pro-life women's group that helps make students aware of pregnancy options and educates the public on ways abortion hurts women.

Words fail them? They could always go with the “Lipstick on a Pig” line.

If they think words fail them now, I suggest they start now thinking of what they’re going to say on judgment day.

So some murderous thugs want to get together to see how they can paint themselves as something other than murderous, lying thugs. I see.

Given the hysteria some of these hags have gone into over Sarah and Bristol Palin choosing to have their children when it might be more personally convenient for them not to, I find all the lathering about “reproductive rights”, “reproductive choice”, and “the right of the woman to choose” to be...what’s the phrase I’m looking for?...ah, yes...phony outrage. Not to mention, so Orwellian that even the Ministry of Truth might have blanched at it.

We aren’t supposed to advocate violence on F.R. if we could, this would be the case where I would advocate it.

There’s a war on and it’s liberals against the most defenseless humans. Liberals want them dead and I know what I want for those liberals.

"Pro-Abortion Leaders Consider McCain and Palin So Extreme, Words Fail Them"

That's ridiculous. No large organization, and especially no feminist organization--wants to outlaw abortion. Some promote it, and others only talk and dramatize about it.

More than 40 million Americans dead.

Think about it. They would have been having their own children by now, working hard, and contributing to society. They also would be paying into Social Security. If you want to know why Social Security is in trouble, look no further. I think the anti-life people should not accept their Social Security checks since they are the ones who support murdering those who would be paying them.

To: whose side

I realized several years ago that abortion was a huge part of the Social Security problem. The largest generation in history decided to murder a generation rather than reproduce at replacement levels.

One reason that so many are pushing for amnesty is the realization that within another decade or two there will not be enough taxpayers to cover the cost of the Baby Boomers.
