Thank you, Andy, and thank you, Invictus for sharing this information.
BTTT.

W3 Schools is a handy reference. Example:
The Anchor Tag and the Name Attribute
The name attribute is used to create a named anchor. When using named anchors we can create links that can jump directly into a specific section on a page, instead of letting the user scroll around to find what he/she is looking for.
Below is the syntax of a named anchor:
<a name="label">Text to be displayed</a>The name attribute is used to create a named anchor. The name of the anchor can be any text you care to use.
The line below defines a named anchor:
<a name="tips">Useful Tips Section</a>You should notice that a named anchor is not displayed in a special way.
To link directly to the "tips" section, add a # sign and the name of the anchor to the end of a URL, like this:
<a href="http://www.w3schools.com/html_links.asp#tips"> Jump to the Useful Tips Section</a>A hyperlink to the Useful Tips Section from WITHIN the file "html_links.asp" will look like this:
<a href="#tips">Jump to the Useful Tips Section</a>
Here is the one I found and used to create the within-page links on my newly revised FR Home/About page:

Well, I know this trick:

Note that the number#number sends you to that particular post.
As for more info, you can FR search the key word, ‘html’. Here’s the 2008 HTML Sandbox:

Maybe you could search key words there. Hope that was some help.
The left is deluded into thinking that the ‘Evil Rich’ are the power behind the scenes. They also are terrified that technology, population growth, and prosperity will destroy the fragile planet. That was my attitude when I was a rat. I hated seeing more roads built. I resented hearing jets overhead. I thought that nature was going to get paved under. When I saw Soilent Green, it ‘confirmed’ all my fears. [But I feel much better now.]
Today, I plan to echo your post. Thank you. FRegards ....
Wonderful piece of research. We have seen the smoke all along, this looks like the fire!
To all: For those of you who don't remember the '60's, for all who are new to the subject: THIS IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN FIGHTING FOR 40 YEARS!
I suggest that you go to the original article print it, save a copy, pass it along to your email list.
We are at war.
You can create a link to an individual post simply by clicking on the number of the post (the number in bold type at the lower left of every post). Then highlight and copy the url that you see in your browser window.
As for my FR Profile/Home page, I've already found a site which explains very well how to create within-page links. I've now applied what I've learned and totally reorganized the page to include a one-click 'table of contents' that allows you to hop to any of the various sections I have there. Thanks again for your honest opinion that it had appeared 'daunting' to you. You prompted me to improve it. Now THAT is "change" we can believe in! :)
