We thought Olbermann was bad in covering the two conventions, but his performance tonight on Countdown was even worse. Sadly, this is not surprising given how he has been demoted at MSNBC because he is too extreme even for their management!

Tonight Olbermann shamelessly accused our military men and women of a "massacre of civilians" in Azizabad, Afghanistan.

That channel has real problems. I happen to watch about 2 seconds of Rachel Madcow, and she is a clone of Oldbernam, except worse (incredible). Prediction: they’ll replace him with her (nice excuse to get rid of him but not upset the loony left), and then eventually fire her.

It is well past time for those of us who hold General Electric stock (GE) the corporate "parent" of NBC and through that the major partner of MSNBC with Microsoft, to flex our collective muscles and remove the management of GE and thereby the mis-management of NBC/MSNBC. Lets get a slate of conservatives for members of the GE board for the next election whenever it is going to occur next year.

A proxy battle for GE/NBC may seem fanciful, but we can effect the policies of that network by such an effort even if it does not first succeed.

For instance, we may be able to force the spin off or sale of NBC. Conceivably, this may be to a group of conservative oriented investors, but even if it goes into the hands of just the general public it will be subjected to market forces (eg ratings) that it is now protected from by the corporate parent's largess.

Tom Brokaw The Real Enemy

In any event I just hope that under a McPalin administration they will remember what GE/NBC has done through Overbite and others who are less vociferous but even more vicious such as Tom Brokaw.
