The Palin effect: white women now deserting Obama, says survey
Guardian ^ | September 10, 2008 | Ewen MacAskill

White women voters are deserting the Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama because of the sudden emergence on the Republican ticket of Sarah Palin, according to a poll yesterday.

An ABC/Washington Post survey recorded that an eight-point lead Obama held over his Republican rival John McCain before the arrival of Palin had turned into a 12% lead for McCain.

The trend is in line with other polls since McCain's vice-presidential running mate ignited the Republican convention with a speech last week espousing social conservative values and presenting herself as a small-town mother taking on the cosmopolitan media.

McCain has taken a 3% lead in a tracking poll by the RealClearPolitics website.

Although the momentum has shifted to McCain and Palin, the election will be decided by independents and moderates, where Obama's domestic and foreign programme should have the greater appeal.

However, the loss of support among white women could be fatal for his chances of winning the presidency if it was to be sustained. Obama had upset this constituency before the conventions, with many Democratic women unhappy that he had dumped their champion, Hillary Clinton, out of the nomination race.

Oh I’m sorry - what were feminists telling us just a week ago? Nominating a woman wouldn’t work?

Obama’s campaign theme:

I dissed Hillary.
I dissed Sarah.

I’ll diss any female that gets in the way of my ascendancy to the throne, sweetie.

Methinks Barry is merely acting out his aggression towards women on opponents instead of the REAL source of his anger, his wife Michelle (who has him by the stones).

“Although the momentum has shifted to McCain and Palin, the election will be decided by independents and moderates, where Obama’s domestic and foreign programme should have the greater appeal. “

What programs?..Is the Guardian reporter Ewen MacAskill smokin that stuff again ?...Obamalamadingdong has NO domestic or foreign programs other than to raise taxes and appease the enemies....You don’t see a 12% swing in the polls and then expect the independents and moderates not to move too ?...American voters can see right through this dimRAT dufus...

I wonder if those “white women” are even aware of the misogyny against white women of the three most important mentors in Obama’s life. His father dumped his mother, a “white woman”. His mentor, Frank Marshall Davis who wrote a book comparing women to sex organs with legs, was married to a “white woman”; and Reverend Wright just used and abused a “white woman” in an extra-marrital affair.

I believe this shows that many women who support abortion as a legal option, nevertheless have great respect women that don’t.

I think it is a woman thing, which transcends politics for most women, except for the angry self-hating feminazis (who respect nobody).

But who am I to say? I have only been married for 40 years to a registered independent; one who would be for McCain and against Obama for the correct reasons, regardless of VP candidates.

Can you imagine!

Some of these women actually resent it when a man refers to a woman as a “pig”.

And surprise, surprise, they might just take it out of his hide at the ballot box.

After this latest Obama gaffe, if that is what we can call such a gratuitous slur, I expect to see 60-40 in the polling of likely voters going into next week.

This is turning into a full-on train wreck for Democrats. And the problem won’t be solved by making a change at the bottom of the ticket. In fact, it won’t be solved at all.

Obama’s solipsism won’t allow it to be solved.

Don’t forget this gem of a quote from Frank Marshall Davis (Obama’s Pedophile Mentor):

He boasted that “the number of white babes interested in at least one meeting with a Negro male has been far more than I can handle” and wished “America were as civilised as, say, Scandinavia”. He concluded: “I regret none of my experiences or unusual appetites; for me they are normal.”

Sarah isn’t just a woman. She is very very strong, smart and down to earth.

...and she also happens to be an expert on energy which is crucial for our economy and national security

This was BEFORE he referred to Palin as a “pig” and a “stinky fish”. As you said, I can’t WAIT to see the polling numbers after it hits the MSM later today (NY Post is running the comment as the basis for their cover story today).

Good chance he’s angry at his white mother for sending him away time and time again to.

I still can’t believe how hard the Palin selection hit the Obama campaign. They look like they don’t know what the hell they’re doing now.
