The Barack Obama campaign accused their Republican opponents of a "pathetic attempt to play the gender card" tonight with the McCain campaign's demand that Obama apologize for a remark made earlier in the evening.
Obama used a "lipstick on a pig" metaphor this evening as he tried to tell voters why they shouldn't believe John McCain and Sarah Palin when they say they represent change.
"Enough is enough," Obama senior adviser Anita Dunn said in a statement e-mailed to reporters
"The Mc Cain campaign's attack tonight is a pathetic attempt to play the gender card about the use of a common analogy - the same analogy that Senator McCain himself used about Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's health care plan just last year," she continued. "This phony lecture on gender sensitivity is the height of cynicism and lays bare the increasingly dishonorable campaign John McCain has chosen to run."

Well, of course you are right. Still, it's true stand up comedy when any Democrat accuses any Republican of playing any kind of a card.
It's also funny to watch pure panic set in among liberals.
>in the future Mr Todd Palin will go looking for him
****************************
Nah! Too much class he has. Sarah can take it. Besides, if Putin does it, Todd can’t retaliate then, so why make a habit of it?
Remember also his calling women reporters “sweetie”? He probably hated his mother and resents his white grandmother.
“Let this one drop, McCain used the lipstich on a pig line himself a year or so ago.”
Absolutely correct. He wasn’t even talking about Governor Palin, he was talking about McCain being the equivalent of George Bush, etc, etc, etc. The Democrats are making enough attacks as it is on Palin, we don’t need to invent attacks.
6 days after 40 million folks watched and heard her lipstick reference and millions more watching and hearing it in the following days in media clips and youtube bites and reading it in print, you can’t honestly tell me obama just out of the blue said a lipstick joke.
How many times in the last two years has the absent senator obama used the term lipstick on the campaign trail?
Look at his body language and the reaction from the crowd when he said it and it is damn clear what for and who this was targeted at.
He has come unglued.Good!
It would be interesting to see the next round of poll numbers...
Ahhh, once again we get the “everybody does it” excuse.
I guess he is going to through the pig under the bus now.
