Governor Sarah Palin! Or, actually, what she signifies.
We've often stated on FR that if the Republicans would only run true conservatives then we'd win more elections. We'd keep the White House, build conservative majorities in congress, replace liberal activist judges with original intent constitutionalists, and eventually overturn Roe v Wade and begin rolling back some of the damage inflicted upon our beloved republic by the socialists and liberals.
John McCain's bold choice of the unabashed pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-liberty, small government, strong defense, fiscal conservative, Sarah Palin, signifies a return to conservatism within the Republican Party.
And the fact that Republicans and conservatives of every stripe, including the Christian right are flocking to her side and that the conservative grassroots has been re-energized literally overnight is proof that when offered the choice of truly conservative candidates, conservatives and Republicans will react accordingly.
Even though I've stated in the past that I would not vote for McCain, I will be supporting this ticket. Governor Palin is a God-fearing, kick butt conservative and I'd much rather have her advising and standing in the wings for the presidency than Joe Biden. I'll definitely pull the lever for her. And I'll do all I possibly can to keep the America-hating Marxist Barack Hussein Obama out of the White House.
Do it for Life. Do it for Liberty. Do it for our troops. Do it for America!
I’m still having a hard time biting this bullet called McCain/Palin on Iraq.
He’s still gonna use MY military for strangers
and
he’s still gonna spend MY taxes on strangers.
I’m just sayin.
You’re sure right. McCain may or may not have used this as way to solidify the base, but for sure he’s put a conservative on the fast track to the Presidency.
I was going for Barr but the Palin pick makes the McCain vote worthwhile now. The reaction of the enemy says a lot about who to vote for.
Freeple.
You go, Sarah!
That's not just tired and worn out; it's an invalid and illogical appeal to consequences, appeal to fear, and an unrelated comment meant to divert you from pressing your question.
Basically, Kimberly, Focus told you to "shut up and stop asking questions."
Focus, would you please try again and answer Kimberly's question...because I have the same question too?
I'll repeat it here:
By the way, has Sarah revealed her position on border security/amnesty yet? McCain sounds more adamant than ever about his pro-illegal position.
He's not. Whether he ever has been is very much debatable.
But hey, according to his Freeper fanbase, he's better than the bogeyman Obama, so he must be elected.
Apologies for the sarcasm in the second paragraph.
Welcome back!
Maybe he can nominate Putin, Ahmadinejad, and Kim Jong, to his cabinet. At some point McLoser is just bizarre in his rantings. I can’t vote for the traitor. I know Ronald Reagan wouldn’t.
The instant I decided to vote third party this year, an astonishing peace descended on me. I'm sure it must be akin to the feeling that suicidal people get once they formulate their plan.
I am simply unable to vote for the McMaverick. Sorry it had to be that way.
I’m voting for Palin.
Bump!
Not so fast there, Hoss.
Never prudent to speak for "all" of us.
I will admit to an initial giddy euphoria over her selection -- the idea that a truly decent person, a real conservative, was running, clearly deserving my vote (which I had previously put out to pasture this time around).
But then, I had a bit of an internal "self-check" when I recalled feeling the EXACT same sentiments about Bush 2.0 the first time he ran.
Didn't take me very long to regret that mistake. (I'm talking literally within days of his inauguration.)
Then, I found out that she has been calling Rick Warren for advice! Shiver me timbers!
I don't think I can cast my vote for a "Purpose-Driven" government (by proxy, with "Pastor" Rick Warren pulling the strings).
I just don't know what I'm gonna do... but frankly I am leaning toward sitting this one out. Once burned, and all that (or, if you prefer, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...")
My condolescences. I never realized you'd lost your middle finger. Hope it wasn't too painful an accident.

Speaking of "McJuan" -- or rather, "the other" Juan -- with Sarah Palin on one side, and Juan Hernandez on his other side, which one do you think will have more pull with McJuan?
Hint: There are more illegal Mexicans in this country than Alaskans. In fact there are likely more illegal Mexican voters than Alaskans (that's total Alaskans, not merely Alaskan voters).
My euphoria lasted a few days. That's got to be worth something -- but I don't think it's worth my vote. My self-respect is worth far more than a few days worth of euphoria.
Useful tip for those with all digits present.
