I really don’t think Obama is a Muslim. He was exposed to it as a kid sure, but Muslims - crazy as they are — don’t snort coke. He has Muslim sympathies as they relate to the usual lib interpretation of black identity. I also doubt he believes the crap Wright was spewing, although his wife may. This guy is a careerist above all and went along with what you had to do to get ahead on the South Side. Look how uncomfortable he is talking faith at Saddleback. Black babies don’t get aborted too? He holds an atheistic/humanistic worldview just like 99.9% of the Ivy League Libs out there. The rest is just a sop to whoever he happens to be trying to impress at the time.

It’s not defending Obama, but defending the principle that we should not attack political opponents by saying things that are not true. The ends dont justify the means.

Wrt Obama’s faith: Barack Hussein Obama is not a Muslim. Barack’s father and step-father both were Muslim, his name is Muslim, he was listed as a Muslim as a student in school in Indonesia, and his step-sisters and step-brothers are Muslim. But Obama is not a Muslim. Obama has attended a Christian church, Trinity UCC, for 20 years, headed by the Black Liberation Theology firebrand Pastor Rev Wright of “God d*mn America” fame, who happens to be friends with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Obama has Nation of Islam staffers. All that smoke does not a fire make. His bios make clear his own views and thoughts - Barack Obama’s real roots are Marx not Mohammed.

Barack Obama is often gaffe-prone and inarticulate when away from the teleprompter. Along with the 57 states he visited, kids on breathalyzers, the 10,000 who he said died in a Kansas tornado (it was under a dozen), and seeing fallen heroes in the audience, inadvertently saying “my Muslim faith” don’t make it so.

Doesn’t the Black Liberation Theology also say that they can’t accept a God that doesn’t back blacks. That doesn’t sound like Christianity to me—I was taught that God accept all. Seems like racism against caucasions.

Would the Democrats take the high road? Probably not. They certainly have not when it comes to Sarah Palin. But on the Muslim thing...I don't think we are going to win the votes we need by making the unsupported claim that Obama is a Muslim. IMO, throwing out questionable claims about Obama’s religion, makes it LESS likely that the voters we need will listen to the real problems Obama has as an inexperienced and exceedingly liberal Senator.

Sorry ,,,, but if 0bama gives me ammo ,, I’m going shootin’ . No one will vote 0bama simply because he’s not sure what religion he is and I like many others are very suspicious . The rule is once a muzzie always a muzzie and muzzies are allowed to lie , cheat , steal and yes kill to advance the causes of islam . A muzzie who converts to Christianity would be doomed by his own . I guess only Alla knows for sure .
