Barry Obama has slipped on his own faith by saying "John McCain has not... talked about... My muslim faith"

Of which Stephanopolous carried the water and corrected him by saying "Christian faith".

I think this is a VERY telling freudian slip by Barrack.

It’s not a tempest in a teapot. Besides Obama making a fundamental slip of the tongue about his faith, we have a top interviewer helpfully correcting him. Since when has a top interviewer helpfully corrected a Republican who made a slip like that in an interview?

I just found the part of the interview where Zerobama says this. However, if you continue listening to what Stephanapolis says, then to what BHO says to correct him, you see that what he’s saying is that McCain has never said anything about the ‘rumors’ that he is a Muslim. So, the premise of your thread is busted (unfortunately.)

However, before Zerobama admits that, he tries to blame McCain for doing just that, saying that the ‘blogs’ that have said he’s a Muslim are closely tied to McCain. To his credit, Steph keeps punching him to admit that beither McCain nor the McCain campaign has said that BHO is a Muslim.

So, BHO is still a slime, but he is not admitting that he’s a Muslim in this interview.

Therefore, IMO, you should ask the mods to pull this thread. It’s an embarrassment. Really.

I agree, but all their attacks on Sarah Palin have come back to bite them. I say we stay above the fray. I've spoken to several democrat-leaning people recently who have given Republicans another look because of what they've been seeing from the left. This is a great opportunity to finally bust the myth that the left has been propagating about conservatives and the Republican party for a long time - that the right is bigoted and hateful and unenlightened and lacking compassion. This is the time to make well-reasoned arguments for what we believe in.

Why not say “John McCain hasn't said I was a Muslim” instead of “John McCain hasn't talked about my Muslim faith”? I would never say that if someone was accusing me of being Muslim. I would say “so and so never called me a Muslim but his buddies did.”

I saw it last night. National Review includes, in this week’s issue, a free DVD called Obsession. I’m not sure if it’s available from an “off-the-rack” edition, but apparently, it’s part of an upcoming special to be broadcast by FOX. It’s a show detailing Islam’s obsession with taking over the world.
