The republicans silence on illegal immigration at the convention speaks volumes. McCain will eventually grant amnesty to 20-30 million third world lawbreakers and their relatives thus forever changing America’s culture for the worse.
Agreed. His feet need to be held to the fire, Obama, NOBama, Bom-Bom-a-Bama, come what may...
I’m not sure it would be helpful for the Convention to be used to give the Dems any free ammunition to criticize the GOP. Policy is something to sort out in-house, and not with 40,000,000 people watching worldwide. There’s a time and place for cleaning dirty laundry, and that wasn’t at the Convention IMO.
The Wall is a great question to ask in every swing state at every rally and every photo opportunity, tho’ — that’s the perfect forum.
That’s how this foreigner sees it, anyrate. Take it for what that’s worth — which is about $0.02 worth of oxtail...
It ticks me off that they won't even bring it up - like we're stupid or something. Also, that they are apparently even censoring the issue.
The way I see it - the whole reason we got Palin was because HUGE numbers of us refused to cave in & say that we were going to vote for McCain because he was better than Obama. He knew he had to pick a conservative candidate to reign us in because he wasn't going to be able to do it himself and he NEEDS our votes!
I want to hear her views on the subject. I can put up with 4 years of him to get her - if she isn't just a red herring to get us off the subject. Sooner or later, she is going to have to answer this.
LOL... who’s the real troll here, shill boy?
This was NOT the place for people to promote their pet issues, however important.
This was a convention to nominate McCain/Palin, and show Republican unity.
The fact is, this Border Issue is clearly being swept under the rug by McCain and his top advisors and the "Control Room" of the RNC. But sooo many grassroots others of us here on FR and elsewhere--with wallets, walking shoes and voices--are just going to rip that rug off the floor and let illegal immigration again emerge as THE cutting edge issue of this campaign. We were told to shut up in 2000. Told to shut up in 2004. Not in 2008. Sorry.
Believe me, McCain/Palin can win on it. Obambi will be doomed to defeat if he makes his bed with illegals and sleeps with them, which he and his platform dictate they must do.
No Brainer.
Sheer Winner of an Issue....not to mention the right thing to do!
They were told NO ANTI ILLEGAL ALIEN/PRO BORDER SECURITY signs...by Republican Organizers

Yeppers...
McCain got some ‘spainin’ to do...
What the video. The kids were sincere and having a great time!
The sign was in fact in agreement with the 2008 Republican Convention Platform!
But it had to come down.
Whassup wit dat!!??
Guys hoist a sign in agreement with the Platform wording, and they are told urgently in a panicked mode to take it down. Hmmmmmm.....
“I am as much against illegals as anyone, it makes my blood boil but I want Sarah Palin in the WH as VP so that she can there as President in 2012.
It is the only chance we have of taking our country back.”
Exactly. This is just more of the Democrats’ “divide and conquer” approach, trying to rile up conservatives against the McCain/Palin ticket, to help Obama to win.
What do these people think Obama will do about the border?
Milions of us want to hear directly from Sarah Palin on AMNESTY (her personal definition) Borders and the Fence, and Illegal Immigration as a whole, including if she would vote for or against Comprehensive in the Senate as tie breaking vote. Let's have it.
And NOT some third party route, through Laura Ingraham or Rush Limbaugh, engineered by the RNC because the Conservatives are getting restless and need to be settled down by one of their talk show hosts who will carry the water for them. Governor Palin, please address this issue directly. Thank you.
I guess it’s still the same ol’ GOP.
I didn’t really expect anything different.
The McCain-Kennedy Immigration Reform Bill is not a pet issue. It is a MAJOR issue that McCain must address.
First of all let me say this. I’m from Texas. You people say “build the fence” but that’s a joke. Why would you want to spend billions of $$ on only 700 miles when they’ll just walk around it or under it. && Besides that, that land is all privately owned. You fail to understand but it is FACT that the fence won’t run exactly right on the surveyed border but at some places hundreds of feet from the surveyed line. As a matter of fact if the fence is built that some American families will actually be then living on the other side of the fence.
I can tell you how to solve the immigration problem & get rid of it real real fast.
We will give all illegals one month to get out of the country. After one month there will be a $1000 bounty on any illegal turned over to ICE for deporting.
I guarentee there will jobs available for anyone that wants one.
These companies & homeowners would be begging people to cut their grass.
Perhaps Mr. Hoffa can hire a few hundred goons to clear out all the construction sites. Hell I drive pass construction sites every day & usually the only white guy there (If there is 1) is probably the only American on the site.
This would be great for the Teamster pension fund and we could move unemployed construction workers from up north to take these jobs. I’m sure they’ll be paying great wages because their demand for labor will be extreme to say the least.
That way too even private citizens like myself or someone unemployed could pick 1 up a week & get $1000.
After one month there will be a $1000 bounty on any illegal turned over to ICE for deporting.
I think...both...
So what do you think will happen to your “MAJOR issue” if Obama gets elected?
The choice is McCain/Palin vs. Obama/Biden.
WHOM DO YOU SUPPORT?
