Sorry the name Sarah Palin isn't a magic word to me like it is with you folks who have long since tossed your panties on the John McCain stage

Sarah Palin is nothing but the tiny buttercup the Republicans have planted in the dog turd that is John McCain in a poorly veiled attempt to hide how bad a candidate he really is. Like said buttercup she's a good temporary distraction, but the smell and unsightliness of the dog turd finally, inevitably come through.

Amnesty is a sell-out of this country. I cannot vote vor anyone who promotes amnesty - this is far too radical. Our country is invaded and the politicians even give the invaders perks not available to the rest of us. Outrageous.

The major issue is what to do with the 12 to 20 miullion illegal aliens already here. McCain wants to give the vast majority of them amnesty, which will allow them to sponsor 66 million to 100 million more LEGAL IMMIGRANTS thru chain migration, i.e, family reunification. I suggest that you go to McCain's official website and see what his policy is re: immigration and border security, especially the paragraph headed: "Address the Undocumented" McCain can't even call them illegal or unathorized aliens. He is selling this country down the river. Whatever happened to the rule of law?

Address the Undocumented. John McCain will address the fact that we have a large number undocumented individuals living in the United States and working in our economy:

All undocumented individuals will be required to enroll in a program to resolve their status.

This program will use background checks to identify criminal aliens for prosecution and deportation.

Assure that the remaining undocumented immigrants learn English, pay back taxes and fines, and pass a citizenship course as part of a path to legal status.

Guarantee that no person here illegally receives a green card before those that have been legally waiting outside the country.

Do a proper accounting of all social security numbers used and attained illegally, rectifying the accounts and alerting those whose identity had been compromised.

The program will also ensure that all undocumented aliens either leave or follow the path to legal residence. America cannot permit a permanent category of individuals that do not have recognized status – a permanent second class.

In addition, the program will provide a system that is fair, humane, realistic, and ensures the rights of the individual and families will be protected Ensure that families are reunited..

Address in an expedited manner the status of individuals brought here illegally as minors through no will or intention of their own.

Eliminate the Family Backlog. John McCain will commit to clearing out the backlog of individuals that are waiting legally outside of the country, some for up to 20 years, for their green card number to become available." Here is video on how the Grand Old Politburo tried to control any unscripted actions on the immigration issue:

The point still is that you and the traitors in the media lie about the difference between legal immigrants and illegal alien criminal scum. Just admit it that you have swallowed the spin and barf it out with no understanding.

You still don't seem to understand what a Guest Worker Program is.

Guest Workers are not "immigrants", legal or illegal.

"Immigrants" are are people who COME TO PERMANENTLY STAY.

"Guest Workers" have a contract to do agreed upon work, for a specified amount of time and, when the job is done, they take their money and GO HOME. When they want more work, they sign up for another contract.

The plumber that comes to your house to fix your plumbing is a "Guest Worker" in your house.

Your mother-in-law that moves in permanently into your house is an "Immigrant" in your house.

"Immigrants" come and stay.

"Guest Workers" come and go. That's why they call them "Guests". They come and then they go home ..... Just like any other "Guest".

The Jamiacan Guest Workers at Guantanamo are not "immigrants". They have no Green Cards. They have no right to permanently stay at Guantanamo. They have no right to stay permanently in the U.S. All they have is contratural permission to stay in Guantanamo for a contracted period of time to do a contracted job. After the contract expires, they are then flown back to Jamaica, courtesy of the U.S. Navy. If they want to return to Guantanamo, they sign a new contract.

"IMMIGRANT" has absolutely nothing to do with "GUEST WORKER".

They are two totally different things.

It is too damn late for a guest worker program unless we round up all the illegals here and send them back.

McCain wants to make them permanent and that is the problem.

No matter how you spin this crap it is true. We have to get rid of ALL of the scumbags first and this is the issue that you avoid.

We’ve had guest worker programs all along. One of childhood friends came every summer with his family to work the onion fields near my home. They applied and eventually got citizenship legally.

Fortunately he’s an American and sides with Americans on this issue.

What about the illegal aliens?

They come to permanently stay, too.

How about if they pee on your street?

How about if they rape your daughter?

Are they still OK with you?

Add to all you said the fact that most of the illegal aliens already here are poorly educated, will need extensive government services which will cost more than they’ll ever pay in taxes and that the family members they bring in will also be from the lower economic strata.

We already have a myriad of "guest worker" programs. What the immigration "reformers" are now pushing is no more than a thinly veiled attempt to flood the country with "cheap" labor.

Plus, given our "leaders'" abysmal record of enforcing laws they find inconvenient, do you really think they'd ever give such a program serious oversight when to do so might staunch the flood of "God's children" into this country?

Yet, without any logic whatsoever, they just froth at the mouth about such a program calling it "amnesty" and "championing illegal aliens".

The problem is that our Government has and continues to fail to enforce validly-passed U.S. immigration law. Both parties turn a blind eye to Mexican nationals crossing the border to illegally attend school in the United States, drunk illegal aliens crashing cars (often without insurance), and stealing the identities of U.S. citizens and legally-present foreign nationals (permanent residents).

The solution is to start enforcing the law. That can be accomplished by electing individuals who will enforce the law. McCain will not do that. And neither will Obama.

Furthermore, if McCain won't enforce immigration law, why should I trust him to enforce the rest of the law?

Yes. That's why they are called "illegal immigrants" as opposed to being called "legal immigrants".

The word "immigrant" is a noun that signifies somebody that moves to another country permanently and the words "legal" and "illegal" are adjectives that describes their legal status as being within the law or outside the law.

What, exactly, is your point?

How about if they pee on your street? How about if they rape your daughter? Are they still OK with you? .... humblegunner

WTF does this have to do with explaining the difference between an IMMIGRANT (stays permanently, be he legal or illegal) and a GUEST WORKER (goes home at the end of his legal contract)?

Is this "Non Sequitur Day" on Free Republic?

If it is, then let's talk about turtles and dogs.

"A turtle is a reptile and a dog is a mammal."

"What if that dog is rabid? What if the rabid dog bites your daughter? Are dogs still OK with you?"

We already have a myriad of "guest worker" programs.

Sure. If you want a Swedish au pair or an Indian software engineer.

Where do these farmers go to get guest worker farm labor every harvest season to pick their fruit before it rots?

Every year, McDannell faces the same struggles many of the farmers in the film face, getting work for the harvest. When the time comes to harvest his 100 acres of fruit each fall, he hires about 10 workers, all of them migrants. Because of the lack of local workers, McDannell said he has no choice unless he wants to see his crop fizzle. He hopes others will see the film and get an appreciation for an issue he has known about for years. “I hope a lot of other people see this because it reiterates things I already knew,” he said. “Without those workers, we’d lose our crop. It’s exactly what would happen. I’m glad to see that somebody is coming out in the forefront and bringing the issue out.”

The problem is that our Government has and continues to fail to enforce validly-passed U.S. immigration law.

I agree with you 100%.

The reason the law is being ignored is that farmers have no legal Guest Worker Program to get workers to pick their crops before they rot.

"If fruit pickers are outlawed, only outlaws will have their fruit picked."

Such a Catch-22 even puts Ronald Reagan on the wrong side of the law.

“One thing is certain in this hungry world; no regulation or law should be allowed if it results in crops rotting in the fields for lack of harvesters.” ..... Ronald Reagan, 1977

Furthermore, if McCain won't enforce immigration law, why should I trust him to enforce the rest of the law?

That is a gross distortion of McCain's position.

"I believe we must have comprehensive immigration reform. The American people want our borders secured first," McCain said during a news conference in Mexico City. .... "That will require some walls. It will require virtual fences. It will require high-technology equipment. We must secure our borders, and then we will address the issue of comprehensive immigration reform." .... Some Mexicans called that the wrong strategy.

wink wink ... the mccainbots dont like this one bit, do they.

Eagles up!

Lets get this out on Terry's show. It is his show I know, but I feel this vignette and others like it are spreading and will have the net effect of smoking out the GOP/RNC Open Borders elite who want us to SHUT UP on this issue of 20million plus invaders on our soil and a piss-poor border fence taking it's own sweet time.

The reason the law is being ignored is that farmers have no legal Guest Worker Program to get workers to pick their crops before they rot.

Then why are so many illegals working in landscaping or running fast-food restaurants or even getting arrested when they try to apply for a job at the local Sheriff's office?

This is not about picking crops any more. This is about the fact that Government has raised the cost of labor by imposing Social Security taxes, by raising taxes on business, and by over-regulating the economy to the point where unskilled American labor is uncompetitive relative to imported foreign labor.

Plus, the political elite are licking their chops at the prospect of importing a new unskilled, uneducated, dependent class that will vote for them and keep them in power.

But none of this is an excuse for the Government's willful failure to enforce its own laws.

That is a gross distortion of McCain's position.

No, it's not.

Talk is cheap. McCain's actions speak louder than his words, on which he has flipped and flopped several times.

Four reasons we cannot allow the *God's Children* issue to be one of live and let live:

a) Taxes...tax burden on your and my backs to support this nonsense.

b) Social Security Numbers: Widespread identify theft? Helllllllooooo? What is so *GODS CHILDREN* about THIS travesty!!?

c) gangs and drugs (drug lords coming in). Is this what we want??

d) Thousands of Americans slain by illegal aliens, either murdered, or killed carelessy, whole families WIPED OUT by drunk drivers. Why not a PEEP about this from McCain or Obama?

Really, can ANYONE refute the importance of these four points??

Hint: when the McCain campaign didn't have any money, they were on the Soros-funded payroll of the Reform Institute.

From Charles Keating to George Soros, he certainlydoes seem to find rich but corrupt patrons.
