The MSM probably overestimated the impact of the Obama speech, and my guess is they are underestimating the impact of McCain's.

I think there are an awful lot of Americans out there who only pay attention to politics every four years who did not know McCain's story. If so, he should get a bounce in the polls from some Indie voters.

If not, he misjudged the electorate and the critics of the speech will be proven correct. We'll have a pretty good fix on where the race stands by Monday.
