Last Day Folks! Thanks for letting me do the threads.
Last night was GREAT! You can tell by the amount of slime that is being thrown us. Break out the poopcorn, it's going to be another late night!
OK .. OK ... now, kindly take your single issue
and start your own thread or forum.
People here have grown up enough over the last
18 months to clearly grasp the reality:
Obama ....... or ....... McCain.
Enough!
I was wondering if the story of his captivity in Hanoi could be told “too many” times, perhaps everyone knew it already and after a while it might feel as though his Vietnam experience is getting rubbed in (a la Kerry)...but fer cryin’ out loud, if Fred Barnes’ kid didn’t know the story, then it’s probably a fresh story to a lot of other people as well...
You think that speech was a winner for the middle and I don’t.
We’ll just have to wait for the push poll reality check.
I don’t know what you posted. All I saw were deletions.
As if a mirror of the campaign itself, the RNC far less contrived than the DNC - compare, for instance, Piper slicking her baby brother’s hair to some of the “hookey” displays we were subjected to in Denver.
except now these annoying phone calls
Please thank your hubby for his service. And give him a hero hug.:)
I disagree, but let me remind you of something: The acceptance speech is not where things are won or lost.
Remember how good Dubya's 2004 speech was, and the 14 point bounce he got...and also recall how terribly he did in the first debate with Kerry. Yet he came roaring back in the last few weeks.
I this campaign is going to begin taking Obama apart in the next few weeks, exposing him for what he is:
"Here comes the orator! With his flood of words, and his drop of reason." -- Benjamin Franklin (Poor Richard's Almanack, 1735)
BTW, I just looked at the Browns squad. Oh my. Long season. Sorry. I see a 7-9 season for ya.
The POW story is a convoluted one. we will discuss it another time
G-d bless Johnny. You could tell he was fighting back the tears the whole time he was recounting his experience in Vietnam. I think I read he wanted to off himself after they “broke” him, but he was talked out of it. Poor guy.
You KNOW he loves this country.
You wouldn’t believe how many people never heard it. It’s a good story, but with the convention over, it will settle down.
You must be an Obama worshipper...sounds like it
Exactly. A huge objective was to reassure RATS and independents who want a reason to vote against BO. That meant that a highly partisan speech would have been disastrous.
BO is having more problems with seniors than any demographic group. Seniors vote in disproportionate numbers. This was designed to comfort seniors.
In football analogy, we want to start playing on the RATS side of the field and stay on offense.
Note that Sarah is dressed in the color of steel.
It can’t be retold enough .... get real.
Not every voter is interested in politics.
Even Rush Limbaugh heard details last night
he’d never known before. Just tune it out.
Two very long years ago (seems like 20), I thought that this night it would be George Allen as the nominee. But I can support this ticket.
Sorry, I didn’t feel like getting banned by telling you what I really think of your stupid comment.
Those Barracudas sure have big smiles, don’t they?
