To: Miss Didi

I was wondering if the story of his captivity in Hanoi could be told “too many” times, perhaps everyone knew it already and after a while it might feel as though his Vietnam experience is getting rubbed in (a la Kerry)...but fer cryin’ out loud, if Fred Barnes’ kid didn’t know the story, then it’s probably a fresh story to a lot of other people as well...

You wouldn’t believe how many people never heard it. It’s a good story, but with the convention over, it will settle down.
