Thank you for the reply. That makes sense. I just thought it would be powerful to see Jimmy in his dress blues!

Oh, I’m not voting for the other guy, and given the consequences of losing this election, I might have to bite the bullet and vote for McCain/Palin. However, we need to make sure McCain understands who is electing him. He might court the independants and moderates, but 60% of the country is conservative. I noticed that the cheering was significantly more boisterous when he talked about conservative issues, and he had to have noticed that. It’s at least a first step.

Juan Williams analysis is right on tonight. Brit is smiling knowing his smackdowns like the surge have worked.

Thank you, mnehrling.
Excellent post, and right on the money. Some people need to drop the drama queen act. It’s getting old.

The ‘84 convention in Dallas was flawless. And security was able to make sure that wacko protesters didn’t acquire convention hall credentials in order to disrupt the proceedings.

Was I just snarky to you and out of line?
Sorry. The thread is moving fast and FR is so slow.
Apologies Leo

It is very powerful. I was not ever POW, but had training... probably benefited a lot from McCain’s experiences.

did i miss something with this poster?
To: patriciaruth
I disagree. It was a great speech.
To: patriciaruth
Whoever wrote that speech should be fired.
Please keep in mind that this speech was not designed for us. We got Sarah! This speech was perfect - designed for pertinent issues and very, very well balanced across the board.

Last night on the Panel, Fred Barnes said that his son called him from college and said he had no idea about McCain’s POW experience. The Average Joe may have missed Fred and Co. telling the story...I thought it was very moving.

To: Ronaldus Magnus
Regardless of what the pundits and naysayers may spout, this was the best executed convention of either party in at least the last 30 years. Agreed.
I've just gone through half a box of tissue watching and listening to a true American hero. If anybody deserves to "milk" POW time and experiences, it's John McCain.
We have nothing less than the survival of this country riding on this election. McCAIN/PALIN all the way.
