Who Am I?
I am under 45 years old,
I love the outdoors,
I hunt,
I am a Republican reformer,
I have taken on the Republican Party establishment,
I have many children,
I have a spot on the national ticket as vice president with less than two years in the governor's office.
Did you guess?
I am Teddy Roosevelt in 1900

Under 45, lover of the outdoors, a Republican reformer who has taken on the Republican Party establishment, has many children, and a spot on the national ticket as vice president with less than two years in the governor's office -- you describe Teddy Roosevelt in 1900 and Sarah Palin in 2008.
I remarked in conversation yesterday that Palin was the modern, female Teddy Roosevelt; pro-America, anti-machine politician, and utterly unafraid of conflict with anyone. She is intelligent, tough, ambitious, and as inspirational as Roosevelt, with the ability to understand, communicate with and relate to the American people. Shes a hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman and conservationist, as TR was. Same political experience, and pro-family to boot.
Moreover, her political enemies are completely afraid of her... just like Roosevelts were.
Palin is one bad colonoscopy away from being President.
Mid East men view women as haram. How does that work?
She’s Teddy Roosevelt in a girl suit! She’s Ronald Reagan in a girl suit! She’s Wonder Woman!
Teddy Roosevelt was a major RINO.
Really? How is that?
This would translate wonderfully into an ad for the McCain/Pallin ticket. How can word be gotten to their campaign to consider this? It answers all the left-wing media’s carping.
Sarahcuda is a combination of TR, Reagan and Maggie Thatcher. The libs are absolutely floored that someone like her exists, let alone is highly popular. She is their worst nightmare come to life.
Hurricane Sarah, a Catagory 5 monster, has smashed into Liberaland with a fury, and is wreaking enormous damage.
Somehow, the sun seems brighter and the air much more clean and refreshing this morning.
Yes. TR took on establishment Washington, doing what was right for the COUNTRY, not the party. He did the same as Governor of New York.
Sound familiar?
Another case if unintended consequences, especially when McKinley is assassinated.
Ask Condoleezza Rice.
Bump
Good point; but Rice isn’t CIC. She is a surrogate for a man. That is different.
and have you not seen McCain's mom she is still pretty sharp in her 90’s

I wouldn't buy into that whole heartbeat from the Presidency BS from the MSM, if something happens to McCain she can discuss it with her adviser's, Just like Obama will have to discuss it with his adviser's if he is president
and Obama won't be a “heartbeat from the presidency” with little experience He would be president with little experience
I was born in a small in the South, my father was a farmer and businessman and my mother a nurse.
I was educated in the public schools, attended University and attained a BS degree.
I married my hometown sweetheart - we had many children. When my father died I gave up a military career to go home and run the family farm warehouse. I became a leader of the community, serving on county boards supervising education, the hospital authority, and the library. I was elected to the state senate, then 9 years later became Governor.
After serving as governor for 3 years I announced my candidacy for president of the United States. I won my party's nomination on the first ballot, and at age 50, was elected president on November 2, 1976.
I am Jimmy Carter, elected as an outside-the beltway reformer. And by the way- my wife made her own gown for the Inauguration
(PS- let us hope despite the very similar backgrounds and experience, that Palin is NO Jimmy Carter, But when a demo-lib sqeals about experience, fix them in the eyes and say JIMMY CARTER??
Does the name Margaret Thatcher ring a bell???
Bzzzt. TR was a shameless self-promoter and we would call him a RINO today based on his policies - universal health care and highly regulated markets to name two. For example, as much as I like pure food and drugs, the FDA (a TR creation) is unconstitutional. Would I vote for an amendment to allow one? Yep. TR set prices for railroad shipping - again unconstitutional. And so on. For a parallel, my take is that all of CFR (aka McCain-Feingold) is unconstitutional, too.
Ask Condoleezza Rice.
Rice can't order carrier task forces and wings of bombers around. If Palin becomes President someday (hopefully after a term or two of McCain - he ain't my favorite pol, but I wish no ill upon him), the Arabs and those of similar mindset will have to undergo a very serious attitude adjustment.
