According to "historian" Michael Beschloss, children are a burden.
Sheesh.
No wonder liberals are jackasses.
One of those children is going to Iraq this month. Another is about to be married and start her own family. So now that the 5 is down to 3 does that eliminate the burden?
I tuned into MSNBC this morning so I could observe and enjoy what I knew would be their painful reaction to Sarah Palin’s fabulous introduction to the world last night. I was not disappointed. The hosts were in agony over her success.
NBC’s “presidential historian, Michael Beschloss’s, comment about the “burden” of Sarah Palin’s having five children should be used in political ads to show the country the sexist anti-family views of the mouth pieces for the left.
And why not? He probably heard that very statement on daily basis from his own mother.
Hopefully someone will ping Geraldine Ferraro on this!
You had to be a complete idiot to not see it coming-the nauseating wave of media smearing, bashing and badmouthing of Sarah Palin, just like they crucified Kathrine Harris and Linda Tripp. Only thing is, it ain’t gonna work. They’re groping in the dark Clinton-like for anything that will ease their fears and puff them up. It didn’t work with Kathrine, and it won’t work with this strong, beautiful heroine.God bless her and her family real,REAL good.
God help them- the intellectual elites seem incapable of understanding their own country.
I said this about Mr. Obama yesterday; now it’s time for Mr. Beschloss: Michael Beschloss is a sissy.
but this IS NOT the story of that panel....that POS LAWRENCE O’Donnell said no one is asking questions of her 5 kids...He demanded to know who will care for those chillens and AMERICA will not tolerate a pol wife....
..Scarborough stood up and said do not email me, Lawrence’s email is........
..Then 15 minutes later Palin said he hubby has suspened his work to care for the kids for the duration
..Mika asked O Donnell was that ok ?
He frowned and said we are gonna ask the questions....
..just horrid hate
I suppose life itself is a burden...why bother?
Frankly, thank GOD our forebearers weren’t lazy, self absorbed people who thought it would be too much trouble to have and raise the next generation. Sheesh. Then again, perhaps people who think like that SHOULD become extinct.
susie
I kid you not, Erin Burnett on CNBC was just having a conversation with Donnie Deutsch about Palin being the perfect advertisement for a female executive in the White House, and that her appeal is widespread. At that point, Erin referred to her as: “I’m thinking of an acronym that ends with an ‘F’ and begins with an ‘M’”.
Everyone’s jaws dropped here and Donnie Deutsch nearly passed out.
“...no she di’n’t just call her a M—F!”
I count 4, Bristol (soon to marry), Willow, Piper and Trig.
They don’t understand “frontier women.” I have a female cousin who lives in the northern plains of Idaho. She has two kids, a full-time job as a statistician for an insurance company, a night job as a math professor at Lewis & Clark university. One of her proudest achievements is that she put meat on the table for an entire winter with the elk she shot. From her front porch. In her pajamas.
children are a burden, children are punishment ... could be a Democrat talking.

“The speech was well-written and well-delivered, but the problem is this is someone we know very little about, and the speech did not seriously expand our range of knowledge,” said presidential historian Michael Beschloss. “It makes it all the more important that she submit to interviews by journalists in the weeks to come in an atmosphere that is not pre-scripted.”

Presidential historian Michael Beschloss: “The speech was fine, well-delivered, loved in the hall. But this is a woman that Americans know extremely little about, especially for a national nominee. And this speech didn’t tell us really very much beyond what we knew already, and that’s going to make it even more important in the future when she gives speeches that are more impromptu and when she submits to interrogations by reporters and average American citizens” (”NewsHour,” PBS, 9/3).
They're talking like she has 5 children under 10 yrs old, for goodness sake!!
And one of them is older than I was when I was baby-sitting and given responsibility to take care of children the age of her younger sister and baby brother.
Cheez whiz, these people are desperate!
How much do you want to bet that this guy has no clue how much multi-tasking women do on a daily basis? I can just visualize this “historian” sitting in his library, research and writing with occasional breaks to eat, lunch with fellow historians and attend the requisite cocktail parties. Or am I missing something?
Think of the love and affection which emanated from the viewing public, through the TV, and embraced Sarah and her family.
Mean-spirited Demos, be aware, for your doom is near.
