What did we see tonight?
Tonight, we either saw a watershed in American politics, a tour de force, the most striking and graceful debut in our nations political life, and a national introduction that makes Barack Obamas 2004 convention address look like small potatoes or we saw what we wanted to see, and the countrys persuadable independents saw something else. Im afraid to believe. If Im wrong, I dont really know what Americans want. I know conservatives are thrilled to pieces, and they ought to be. She knocked it out of the park. I dont think she could have delivered that speech any better. Even if I hadnt suggested a line, I would say that the speech hit almost every note just right. (Did the Obama fans feel this way? Is this what their exultation feels like? Wonderful. Im glad they get to experience it too.)
My e-mail box is thrilled. Cam's Talkbackers are thrilled "you called down the thunder, and now ya have it."

biden may go into hiding or get a sore throat.
My husband and I looked at each other and we said, “Doesn’t this have the feeling of Ronald Reagen during the debate saying about Jimmy Carter ‘There he goes again’?”
We both agreed this is a watershed.
The fact that she tore apart the Obama camp three days after McCain nailed Obama for the pregnancy gossip guaranteed a high level of interest for this speech.
Very wise and informed analysis.
Yes, the LeftMedia has been burned badly in going after the heaven-sent Sarah Palin and her beautiful family.
They can TRY and go after McCain, but the man is an undeniable American military hero, who has already given much in the service of his country. His story is well-known.
I say the propagandizers in the DemocratMedia have nowhere to turn now.
Obama and Biden will be flopping around the ring like a dazed wrestler
What are you going to do when PALINAMANIA runs wild on you, brother?
If you are Obama and Biden, you are going to beg the media to save you ... to bad they are in a steel cage match and have no where to run or hide.
You’re right. She doesn’t just say what she believes— she exudes it. Her self confidence floored me.
Pharmaceutical and/or recreational molecules are probably additionally prescribed. The Hillary sites are gushing over Palin.
Thank You, Lord, for your grace to our undeserving wayward nation in its time of need. Thank You for Sarah Palin. "
Very well said!
McCain, you magnificent bastard!
By the time Hillary runs against Palin, Shill will be yesterday’s news.
Let me admit in public: I misunderestimated John McCain.
This is what happens when you finally get a Governor in there, instead of a Senator.
Expect all of the morning talk shows crews to be wearing black.
Wow, what a fantastic speech. I heard most of it in the car and didn’t get a chance to see it, but I was grinning from ear to ear the whole time.
I’m actually EXCITED, for the first time in this whole, interminable, lousy, stinkin’ election season.
Tomorrow, watch out for the Left in the MSM. I wonder what skeletons they’re going to pull out next. If you’ve been pissed off at the media up to now, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
I predicted that biden would resign his candidacy by Friday. I still think that he will offer it, so a woman or Hillary can be on the ticket. Rudy apparently agrees with me, when he said that biden should get that vp thing in writing.
Understood. He’s got a high bar to meet tomorrow.
They haven't worn black since we hanged Saddam.
Ironically, the first Republican to show any balls is a woman.
Question to the MSM, you set your sights on a woman who hunts moose. Did you honestly think you could SCARE her?
