Palin: average isn't good enough (Barf alert)
Los Angeles Slimes ^ | September 3, 2008 | Sam Harris

Posted on 09/03/2008 9:11:50 AM PDT by Kaslin

She's not qualified to be president, and in picking her, McCain shows that he has little respect for the presidency.

So let us ask the question that should be on the mind of every thinking person in the world at this moment: If John McCain becomes the 44th president of the United States, what are the odds that a blood clot or falling object will make Sarah Palin the 45th?

The actuarial tables on the Social Security Administration website suggest that there is a better than 10% chance that McCain will die during his first term in office. Needless to say, the Reaper's scything only grows more insistent thereafter. Should President McCain survive his first term and get elected to a second, there is a 27% chance that Palin will become the first female U.S. president by 2015. If we take into account McCain's medical history and the pressures of the presidency, the odds probably increase considerably that this bright-eyed Alaskan will become the most powerful woman in history.

There is a 100% chance of an unqualified person to be president if the dimocRAT nominee should win.

What are the odds Obama being black will go to jail while in office. It’s got to be around 30% or more.

The more I read of these kinds of attacks, the more I think that these people are advocating a political class, and that only people in that class, professional politicians, can run for office.

I don't think that's what the founders had in mind.

Palin would make a terrific president. She has more executive experience then either Obama or Biden put together.

THAT is what really terrifies the Left. That a conservative woman might steal Hillary's thunder. And they can't let that happen.

This presupposes that Obama is one of those extraordinary persons yet his record, as released, shows nothing of the sort. Unless he proves otherwise, he was an affirmative action student at his universities and an affirmative action appointee to the Harvard Law Review. He won a popular election to be “president” of the Law Review which, prior to political correctness, used to automatically be the top student at the school. He has kept his records tightly controlled, refused to commit himself to anything of real substance, calls the issue of when rights inhere to unborn children “above his pay grade” although he had written a short law review article denying any such rights to unborn babies, thinks there are 57 states in the union, says he knows little about the legalities of purchasing a home, claims that Iran is a small threat, and a whole host of other gaffes which point to a not-so-exceptional intellect. And even if he had the intellectual potential, it is clear he has done little to realize that potential beyond his rhetorical reading skills whereas Palin has risen far above what might be expected of her background and continues to apply real life experiences to politics, a sorely needed trait.

I agree. Average is not good enough. That’s why I’m not voting for a 3/4 term junior Senator from Illinois who’s only other claim to fame is as a community organizer in one of the most corrupt political districts in the United States. Average? Hell, he ain’t even that!

I’ll vote for the ticket that leads with a man who has dedicated his entire life to serving this country both in the military and later as a Senator and who understands the threats we face in today’s world and one who has the maturity and good sense to deal with them. And I’ll vote for the one the ticket that has broken new ground by nominating a strong, intelligent governor of the state of Alaska and who’s time with the Alaska Oil and Gas Commission has given a keen understanding of arguably the most important issue facing this country today: our dependence upon foreign sources of energy and how it relates to national security and our economy.

Sorry, Sam.

Barack Obama is 47.

Obama, like John McCain, is older now than his father was when he died.

Obama's mother died at 52.

His parents lived an average of 49 years.

McCain's parents have lived an average of 83 years - and counting, since McCain's mother is still alive at 96.

In terms of blood clots, that's Biden's department.

In terms of falling objects, McCain already fell out of the sky into a Vietnamese prison camp - and he's still here and still going.

These are the kind of comments you would expect from at communist. First it’s GOVERNOR PALIN. Second, this is an attack on women. By this logic Hilary DEFINITELY should not be President nor should Nancy Pelosi be speaker. By the way what makes an activist who has NEVER had an executive position able to be President. Governor Palin had five years of elected office before Obama started his run for congress. These rants by Sam Harris is nothing but anti-Conservative propaganda, with no proof and nothing but lies.

Black men in Washington, D.C., had a life expectancy of just 57.9 years,

Utilizing the SSA's tables McCain could be expected to live another 12 years. Utilizing actual data for real time studies Hussein could be expected to live an additional 13 years based on his age. Taking in consideration of disease processes common in black males, hypertension, kidney disease, Type II diabetes, Sickle Cell disease and stroke it appears their agruement simply doesn't hold water.

Mr. Harris is extraordinarily obtuse, he seems unable to follow his own argument. If he feels that Governor Palin is unqualified in case she is called on to become President then he must insist that Obama is completely unqualified and no one should ever vote for him. Obama has no executive or command experience, not one day. His only managerial role was to serve a confessed terrorist whose political philosophy is to kill everybody who disagrees with him.

Hilarious that they’r calling her “average”. She the most “un-average” person — man or woman — that the country has been exposed to, maybe ever. I’m sure that’s the reason the word was used, to pay down the fact that she’s above average.

Palin: average isn't good enough

If average isn't good enough, what does sub-standard suggest?

Even 21 months as a chief executive of a state trumps the experience of a junior senator whose sole interest seems to be the politics of hate and intimidation over personal achievement and the promotion of an alien and foreign culture into "his" country.

Sarah has live her entire life in the real world, working jobs most of us (men) couldn't handle, as far from politics and a life of sleaze as you can get.

Average is not enough?
Well, what is less than average? Sleaze? Hate? Racial baiting? A law degree? cozying up to murdering muslims?

I'll take "average" any day!

Other “average” people who became great presidents:

Abraham Lincoln, Harry Truman, Ronald Reagan.

She’s in good company.

Signed,

Just an average American whose efforts in my average life help to pay for the rest of the world.

“The actuarial tables on the Social Security Administration website suggest ....”

Nothing. The actuarial tables are (by definition) based on data for the whole population — including a great many already at death's door. The tables don't provide any useful information about the risk of death for an individual. McCain has recently had thorough health checkups & was pronounced very healthy. His annual risk of death is far lower than the averages reported in the actuarial tables.

Well, that's the trouble with introducing "statistics" into a rational discussion.
Accurate but irrelevant.

On the other hand, you are attracting attention here... be careful of the PC crowd.
