Yep, there was a media blackout of Fred. I boycotted Fox for a while after their deplorable treatment of Fred in the primaries. I have begun watching again, but not near as much as I once did.

His speech is predictable and dull and he has barely attacked Obama. I think the GOP are really demoralized. Their pimping up of Palin and McCain dont sound heartfelt at all. This DUmmie must have been listening to the speech with the sound off. But that's all right; let them go on deluding themselves about how demoralized we are.

Leiberman will speak to people you might not find on Free Republic, but he may reach some of those teetering between the two parties.
He may be the only one the MSM will show.

You have good reason....

....to be proud.

I guess it’s nice having a Democrat like Lieberman give support to McCain at the convention but they shouldn’t have made him the headline speaker. It would have been better to finish the night with a firebrand like Thompson.

Ya - Lieberman is boring. And his whiney voice drives me nuts. Besides, I spent a few years in CT....didn’t like him then either....

It’s good to see him supporting McCain, and he’s the only Democrat I have even the slightest respect for. However, I completely disagree with this “non-partisan” crap. I don’t WANT my candidate to “reach across the isle.” I want my candidate to DESTROY the other side. I had more than enough of this “can’t we all just get along...?” crap during the eight years of the Bush administration.

Lieberman isn’t as dynamic as Fred but he’s on our side!
To: jennyjenny
I don’t recall any GOP speaking at the DNC convention... heck, they don’t even let proLife Dems speak there - for at least 20 years!
