ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

Unmarried sex / pregnancy = wrong.
No, you are not the only one.
Much more likely it was Obama's grandpa who shaped them both into being radical Leftists. In "Dreams from my Father", Obama recounts being introduced to Frank Davis (prominent American Communist Party member) by grandpa, who would go over to Frank's place to have drinks together, bringing young Obama with him
No you are not. I am deeply ashamed of many here. I expected so much better.
Impressive. A flip flopper who endorses and then takes away his endorsement over a personal matter. A fair weather friend. Very impressive.
You know what, Lori?
I’ve never been pregnant.
Since I’ve never been pregnant, does that disqualify me from speaking out on teen pregnancy?
“Teen pregnancy is a huge problem, but, when it happens to your own children you wrap your arms around them, remind them that you love them, and carry on!”
yes, but bring it into a national campaign? these people need to huddle up with the other two girls and work on a bit better moral compass and teach consequences. and just because anecdotally this turns out OK from time to time does not make it OK in the bigger sense.
“I have not seen even one person on this thread recommend that they encourage teen pregnancy:
Then you need new glasses.
You are really funny....You, too. ;^)
Unmarried sex: wrong
Unmarried pregnancy: not necessarily wrong (the alternative is abortion)
High school health teaches sex ed, unless Governor Palin had it suspended, which I a) have seen no evidence for and b) doubt.
This is me in the pissed off slash wtf-did-you-do-that-for mode (especially after reading Freepers going gaga over Palin and her family for the past few days as if they were perfect).
After a while, this issue will sink, and I will move on and accept it. There are egregious flaws (McCain has many), and there are minor flaws (this is one of them, and it will remain so, unless Palin's family is riddled with willful "mistakes" and that interferes with her ability to carry out her job).
Am I making any sense here?
Are you out of your mind? Xenalyte is a fixture around this place. I'm one of the angray cranks around here ... but she's most certainly not a troll. Mentally deranged? Not even close.
I think you made a very good point about not taking it into the national campaign.
People shouldn't be celebrating unwed teen pregnancies.
Especially not traditional conservatives.
It will cost McCain votes on election. No doubt about it.
I'd like to see a link to a post on this thread that recommended "that they teenage pregnancy."
‘Having sex and getting pregnant is wrong’
I THINK YOU MEAN - HAVING SEX IS WRONG (Getting pregnant is the consequence). if you really want to truly be judgemental then let’s ask: I’d like everyone to think about their own life and if they had SEX before marriage. (even If no baby was conceived, they are just as guilty). I’d like to know how many can continue to throw stones.
“You should be condemning premarital sex, not teenage pregnancy.”
That is exactly what I am doing.
Some of the bible thumpers around here are defending it!!
I’m agreeing with you!! Ack!! I was just expounding on the idea that one day’s mistake is another day’s best decision ever...
We're all glad you recognize the problem. When it's your daughter you will have to do something: (1) turn her over to the Taliban for stoning or (2) support her and go on with life.
