Palin Pick Causes 'Elation' among Evangelical Leaders
cbn ^

Posted on 08/29/2008 9:23:20 AM PDT by flyfree

Wow. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is John McCain's pick for Vice-President. Folks, this is s close to a game changer as you can get.

Let me give you some instant reaction. I can tell you that The Brody File has been talking to multiple sources in the conservative Evangelical community and the reaction has been EXTREMELY POSITIVE. As a matter of fact, I am told that when conservative leaders heard the news this morning at a meeting at the Council for National Policy, one attendee told me that there is "nothing but elation. People are giddy. They are energized and they now believe that in fact this campaign has the ability to win this election."

I love this pick.

She is Conservative, Pro-Life (consistently and with a solid history, unlike some.......AHEM!......potential picks), a wonderful mother, wife, and Governor.

I mean, what is there not to like?

Unless you are a bitter "you know who" supporter.

With this pick also we WILL pick up more women voters. We have an arrogant black guy with an arrogant old white guy opposite the ticket.

You are in what field, exactly? I’d like to know what “field” you are in, when you have never even learned the difference between “there” and “their.”

You wouldn’t be over here doing a little “fishing,” would you?

"In reality Mc Cain is 72 yrs if something were to happen to him are we to assume she can RUN THIS COUNTRY??"

Only tyrants "run" their countries.

Government OF the people, BY the people, FOR the people, not government of the president, by the president, for the president!

Yeah they are really attacking her I should say MORE executive experience than Oshams. I look for them to really attack hard and fast because they are now scared. I can’t wait for Bin Liden to tangle with her the debates.

I have not been rude here and have been respectful. I would appreciate it, if you should show the same respect...
Thank you.

Obama blew it with their choice of Biden.

Yes, that's for sure! Most of my prayers have been answered. Hillary lost the nomination; Obama picked Biden; and McCain didn't pick Lieberman. There is much comfort in these results. We have what I'd call a weak ticket, against the weakest possible ticket on the Dem side. Our inexperienced veep candidate will not be attacked without a response regarding their inexperienced presidential candidate. She has an angry brother-in-law...Obama has an unrepentant terrorist in his camp.

DASS. Dems Are So Scrude! :D

***He had values and experience that any conservative wanted?***

He comes across like to much of a TV preacher, IMHO.

I didn’t read to the bottom of your post and see why you had posted the poem. It was obviously meant for another reason, but the timing of your post was a good one as a very good friend is sad over the death of a friend and those words may bring some comfort.

A stumbling idiot like Biden will get destroyed in the debates.

I don't think Biden is any type of idiot and I don't think he'll be destroyed in the debates. But I think the Palin will present a real minefield for him. He's so accustomed to just going on the attack that it will be hard for him not to do that to Palin. I think she would probably be ready for him, but there's still a lot of people who will perceive him has being unnecessarily rude to a woman. It's one of the ways Hillary defeated her first Republican opponent for the Senate.

Oh, the VP debates ought to be something: cagey, career politician who’s completely out of touch with the real worls vs. independent, smart pistol who has actually experience in REAL LIFE

more experience than Obamination has and more executive experience than Biden does

Exactly! And someone once said of experience, that sometimes a person with "40 years' experience" actually has had one year of experience 40 times!

Ws there a reason he did not choose Gov Huckabee?Maybe McCain wanted to get elected. How's that for a reason? You must be a troll.

The biggest troll contingent in FR lately has seemed to be the curmudgeon-conservative anti-Huckabee smear campaign.

Now, get used to another governor who bucks the Good Ol' Boy GOP clubbers.

Sorry. I’m really trying to. I just couldn’t figure out what “field” you were referring to. Maybe you could be a little more specific next time, so there won’t be any misunderstanding?

To add to Evangelicals, I would include Catholics, gun owners and hunters and fisherman.

...and not only has McCain decided on a Republican but a Reagan Republican to boot. There will be no embarassing videos of her celebrating gays in the military or dismissing President Reagan eight years.

Hillary must be about to have apoplexy. She was to be the first woman in the WH, with all the correct lib views. Now an All- American conservative woman!!! Be on the look out for Obamicide.

That won't matter to Her. She'll arrange to have a Crazy kkk member or parish priest or white man member of NRA on hand at the time of his arkencide.
