Did a search but FR slow. Mods please remove if Live thread already started.
If PMSNBC has chosen a really, really dumb attack strategery ... which, of course, means that they have bupkis.
McCain just changed the entire dynamic of this presidential race.
I have to take my baby to the doctor, so will miss the next couple of hours. If anyone finds a video link to Mac/Palin speeches, please post to me. Thanks.
From NRO:
Five quick thoughts on Sarah Palin, probably the only pick McCain could make who could simultaneously appeal to Hillary supporters who think sexism cost her the nomination, and consolidate large swaths of the conservative base.
1. As mentioned below, Palin killed the Bridge to Nowhere. This is a reform ticket, and the “more of the same” charge looks even less plausible now.
2. She doesnt just talk the pro-life line; she lives it by choosing to carry to term her child with Downs’ Syndrome. Consider the social conservative base consolidated.
3. The Democrats want to question her experience? Shes spent more time running and managing a bigger institution than anybody on their ticket has. No party ticket offered an all-experience ticket. The question is, if you think experience is important, would you rather have it as at the top of the ticket or at the bottom?
4. In the debate, guns will come up. Biden thought the guy who called his gun his baby has problems. Shes an NRA favorite.
5. Do I have to be the first to say it? Shes gorgeous. Stunning. A jaw-dropping knockout. This will inevitably cause some Democrat to call her a bimbo (remember how Jeri Thompson was treated by those jerks at MSNBC). That will backfire enormously. In some places in this world, women still encounter sexism and condescension. (”Hold on a second, sweetie.”) Attractive women encounter it and sometimes get it even worse, the idea that if you look good, you can’t have a brain in your head. The Democrats will be playing with fire every time one of their surrogates or friendly commentators go on the cable news shows...
For what its worth, most of my readers are going bonkers. They love the pick.
A moment ago, on CNN:
John Roberts: She has a child with Down’s Syndrome, and care for children like that can take a lot of time. Is there any concern about the balance of that?
Dana Bash: The McCain camp is probably wondering if she were a man, whether you would be asking the same question.

Bring it on you communist media bitches.
I am going to watch MSNBC for the first and last time on election night just to watch their heads explode like the aliens in “Mars Attacks.”
Ditto! :)
LOL...amazing. They love their “precious” so much, and hate conservatism to a degree that they will now throw their little temper tantrums and secretly be rooting for McCain/Palin to lose. The behavior is quite childish and extensively unreasoned.
Ive been saying for weeks if not months that the only way I would vote for the Repulican ticket was if Palin was on it. And to my utter shock, she is. Yippee !!!!! I haven’t been this excited since 1980 !
She sounds like a female Reagan. She is way to the right of McCain on most issues and doesn't have the baggage Romney had from his pro-choice days and his socialized medicine experiment.
Sure doesn't look like one. Probably 1/4 or less. But what's the diff, right?
Inuit??? They produced Quicken and QuickBooks??? Who knew? ;-))))
HOLY COW!!!!! The guy on CNN just said TWICE that down syndrome kids take more time and care, how is she going to take care of this child and be VP!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a parent of a special needs child and I am unbelievably offended. And talk about SEXIST!!!!!
Wow!
If true, so what? And, just a hint, "Wiki" isn't a reliable source.
These words from Bill Clinton’s speech the other night may just bite him, and Obama, in the butt:
“Together, we prevailed in a campaign in which the Republicans said I was too young and too inexperienced to be commander in chief. Sound familiar? It didn’t work in 1992, because we were on the right side of history. And it won’t work in 2008, because Barack Obama is on the right side of history.”
Andrea Mitchell over on MSNBC looks positively heartbroken ... and worried ... lol.
Just made my second donation to the RNC, I’ve been supporting individual candidates up till now. The first was when the House Rep’s staged the ‘Drill here now’ sit it.
Last nights speech by the ‘one’ was the best advertisement yet for McCain, got me to open up my wallet !
MAYBE, I should rethink my tagline ;)
