It was a mixed bag night for former President Bill Clinton.
First, his appearance at the Democratic National Convention was met with one of the longest ovations ever recorded at such an event. Clinton even acknowledged it, telling the rabid audience, “I love this.”
Yes, he is a rock star.

Sun-Times exclusive: The Clinton family -- Bill, Hillary and Chelsea -- got stuck in an elevator Wednesday night, shortly after they left their box at the Pepsi Center, where the Democratic National Convention is being held in Denver.
The Clintons got stuck midway between one floor and the next, and ultimately had to climb out of the elevator, back up three-and-a-half-feet to the next floor.
The elevator was full and reportedly everyone was calm while waiting for help, which took approximately three minutes.
Observers were impressed at how calm everyone remained.

Also when Obama was working the crowd with handshakes across the barb wire barrier (OK I made that part up) he reached over and hugged a Monica look-alike sans the beret.

Boy, he had better lose some weight.
Glen Beck had that kiss on his email today...stirred up a controversy. Do you remember when Biden was running, and at the debate the teleprompter asked about his saying “Obama was too inexperienced, etc”? and Biden said “I stand by that statement.”...Well on the camera Obama looked like he could kill him, and on Obama’s face was that scowl of I’ll get even...as VP what’s Biden gonna say?
He’s got a pipeline to middle aged lookers. I think they put one with him to keep him calm. I know it would work for me. Or whatever. I just had to laugh when I saw the pretty lady sitting next to him last night. And when Obama kissed Biden’s wife on the mouth I was like, whoa.
She’s holding in her emotions so she won’t look like a grinning metaphor. I’ve noticed this from day one. Good for her. She’s got self control. I would be grinning from ear to ear.
Okay. Now I feel better. I thought I was imagining things or that my glasses were blurry.... I thought it was absolutely impossible that Obama would kiss anyone else’s wife on the mouth! But you have restored my faith in my eyes. The question is.... how come there’s no mention of this and why did he do it?
And what did they know when they pushed it?
