Springfield, Illinois We just arrived at the state capitol. Were told Biden is en route and on the plane Obama spokeswoman Linda Douglass told us that Obama called Biden Thursday night to offer him the job
It is literally 90 degrees warmer than it was on February 10, 2007. The lecterns all set up with the new Obama/Biden logo. Obama's plane wasnt changed the tip that broke Kerry's choice of Edwards in 2004 -- it simply reads Change We Can Believe In; www.barackobama.com"). A significantly smaller crowd has turned up for this event than the 17,000 for Obamas presidential roll out....

Best I was hoping for was 4 points, but like your prediction better. Never would I have imagined the Obama campaign would implode so thoroughly. I really, REALLY hope you’re right.
Yeah, and he threw one under the bus (Granny wasn't mentioned today) and the other has brain cancer. That leaves his wife, the bug-eyed finger-shaker. EWWWWWW.
“Howard Fineman also said that Joe Biden had working class roots.
Fineman must be making stuff up as he goes along. Or maybe he’s repeating Obama talking points.
I look at pics on threads. If someone looks different, I am simply posting that I noticed. She looked okay before. He’s a veryscary radical inexperienced person. Elitists are never what they claim to be.
“Last time a Presidential Candidate kickedoff his campaign in Springfield, Ill, the Nation ended up in a Civil War.”
Yeah, and the President involved wound up fighting former Democratic members of Congress.
Nice to see that Joe has risen from his “working class” roots, through his 35 years in the Senate.
obama introduced biden as THE NEXT PRESIDENT!
Quick! Go take a shower !!! ;0)
Thank you for your ‘uninspired’ report... ;o)
I watched the painfully canned spiel via a CNN news feed, all the while following the keen and humorous freeper dialogue, right here on this thread. I got the same feel for the crowd’s pulse, as what you’ve so graciously reported... in other words, it was obvious.
Did you happen to make the Blues/BBQ fest taking place at nearly the same time, on the opposite corner of the Old State Capitol?
‘Did you happen to make the Blues/BBQ fest taking place at nearly the same time, on the opposite corner of the Old State Capitol?’
No, we got discouraged by all the security. The fest was next to the Old State Capitol but there were barriers as you would expect so between negotiating the crowd, heat, barriers, we pooped out!
NObama bin Biden!
all talk and no action...and no hero.
We’ve got a similar saying here in Texas using a bathroom metaphor—all fart and no...well, you know. ;-)
This VP selection will go down in history as one of the biggest mistakes a candidate ever made. From now on, when someone screws up this big, you’ll say about them, “Oh, man, he pulled an Obama when he forgot to put on his parking brake at the top of the big hill!” ;-)
The reason for the lack of flags: this was not about “love of country” - it’s about love of The One. The Kool-Aid crowd was there for him - not for the country, or Biden.
Even Barack America looked like he realized the huge mistake he made with Blowhard Biden.
Then there wouldn't have been the "3 am call" slam on Hillary that they just couldn't resist!
3:00 A.M. is when the human body is at its lowest state. It’s also when voodoo drums begin to be beaten in Haiti. Worst possible time to have surgery...
Rush made note of this very thing the other day on his show. It’s amazing how they subtly do this crap. My husband was talking to his mom last night and she was so excited about Biden being the VP pick. Needless to say, we don’t talk politics much at their place. They are soooo misguided and think that Bush is awful and Cheaney is the Great Satan. Drives me nuts. I am sure that my blood pressure goes up 20 points when we go there.
