The University of Illinois said Friday it is releasing records of Barack Obama's service to a nonprofit organization linked to former 1960s radical William Ayers.
Supporters of John McCain have been trying to exploit the tie between Obama and Ayers, with a conservative group spending $2.8 million on an ad focusing on Ayers. Ayers' Weatherman group took credit for bombings that included nonfatal blasts at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol four decades ago.
The records of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, an organization that Obama chaired and that Ayers co-founded, will be made available to the public Tuesday, the University of Illinois at Chicago said in a statement.

I agree.
All they need to do is run ads like the one on FR and a few “GD America!” ads.
People already get the point.
Well we know that the pertinent docs were probably taken by Sandy Berger while all this was going on. Now it is safe to release the papers.
Thanks Fred Nerks.

You are right, its the Green Party wing of the Dem party. But they will be there at the invitation of their Dem cousins.
RECREATE68. "Cindy Sheehan Joins Us in Denver The Re-create 68 Alliance also announced that anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan and Green Party Presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney and Green Party Vice Presidential candidate Rosa Clemente will be joining their historic line-up of speakers who include Ida Audeh, Kathleen Cleaver, Ward Churchill, Mark Cohen, Chairman Fred Hampton Jr., Larry Hales, Larry Holmes, Ron Kovic, Glenn Spagnuolo, Pamela Africa, King Downing, Jenny Esquiveo, Mumia Abu Jamal - Current Political Prisoner (Recorded from Death Row for the DNC), Gloria Estela La Riva, Ricardo Romero, Natsu Saito, Ann Erika White Bird, and others..."
Bernardine Dohrn, wife of Bill Ayers and leader of the SDS, which gave birth to the Weathermen/Weather Underground, was sentenced to a year in prison for refusing to testify about her connection to the string of robberies which culminated in the 1981 Brinks heist.
Dohrn worked in a NYC boutique called "Broadway Babies," where ID's of customers were stolen and used to rent trucks used in the robberies.
Dohrn served seven months of the term in 1983, then she and Ayers (who had two kids at the time) married, and proceeded to adopt Chesa Boudin, son of Cathy Boudin and David Gilbert, former WU members, who were convicted of the 1981 crime which left nine children orphaned, the youngest being six months old.
And...Obama was 20 years old at the time of the 1981 robbery, and living in New York City, in the same Columbia University area where Ayers and Dohrn lived.
You're kidding! He's been discredited except for the most radical of the lefty moonbats. When is he scheduled to speak??
Excerpted records? Heavily redacted records? Partial records?
_____________
My thoughts exactly. You can always trust a Communist...to be a Communist. They will protect Comrade Obama.
that included nonfatal blasts at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol four decades ago.
Oh that changes everything. Nonfatal.
A nonfatal bombing by Obama buddies.
They think we are idiots.

To learn about the Weatherment read. David Horowitz, “Pardoned, but unforgiving”.
I’m sure you’re right. Dems are pros at eliminating paper trails.
According to Wikipedia:
Ayers’ memoir was published on September 10, 2001.
David Farber, reviewing the book for the Chicago Tribune pointed out that in the book, Ayers “blandly tells us” the bomb that killed three members of the Weatherman in the Greenwich Village townhouse explosion in March 1970 was, in Ayers’ words, “destined for the army base nearby,” (Fort Dix in New Jersey). “The massive bomb contained a box of carpenter nails, and though Ayers does not say, it almost surely was intended to kill many people.”[16]
Also, this in Wikipedia:
Views on his past expressed since 2001
Ayers was asked by an interviewer for the PBS television program Independent Lens, “How do you feel about what you did? Would you do it again under similar circumstances?” He replied:[22]
Ive thought about this a lot. Being almost 60, its impossible to not have lots and lots of regrets about lots and lots of things, but the question of did we do something that was horrendous, awful? ... I dont think so. I think what we did was to respond to a situation that was unconscionable.
How utterly gauche; trying to “exploit” this old stuff. Can’t we just move on?
Clearly WUO ‘didn’t do enough’ as Ayers claims...no wonder he’s ‘proud’...my favorite:
“6 March 1970 WUO members Theodore Gold, Diana Oughton, and Terry Robbins are killed in the Greenwich Village townhouse explosion, when a nailbomb they were constructing detonates. The bomb was intended to be planted at a non-commissioned officer’s dance at Fort Dix, New Jersey.”
Now a dozen or two more of those ‘inconvenient explosions’, and the RIF in WUO personnel may have been enough to convince terrorists that the job description sucks!
OK, I'll bite...OBAMA "Often Belittles, Alienating Most Americans"
Ping.
Naw. They are done doing a “Sandy Berger” on the records.
Just like John Kerry released his records....
this is becoming a quadrennial event for Democrats....
LOL - not bad, not bad at all! :)
Are they actually going to be speaking IN the convention - meaning speaking WITHIN the convention itself, to the delegates?
From what I understand “Recreate 68” is moreso a protest group - not enamored with the DNC at all, really. (Mumia was a big hero to the “purist” anarchist crowd in Denver when I lived there - lefties too, but the anarchists were the most vocal about it).
Anyway, from what I gather it’s more likely these people will be speaking to the protestors OUTSIDE the convention - not the actual delegates themselves, and not WITHIN the convention venue. Please, do correct me if I’m wrong in my assumptions here. (Kind of the same thing as Ron Paul hosting his own private “convention”...).
One thing I don’t understand - IIRC the protesters in ‘68 were communist radicals, right? Wasn’t there whole thing about creating revolution and strife as a means to “take down” our government (using the convenient anti-war cry as a rallying point)?
Seeing as Obama and his friends ARE radical marxists/communist/etc... why are these people still pissed? If anything, I would think they would be supporting Obama and his friends. If they are successful in “recreating ‘68” along with the violence it’s not going to look good for the Democrats. Is it all just a ploy to pretend that the DNC aren’t their brethren in ideology or something? Or, is it just a DIFFERENT group of communists angry because they aren’t in charge, or angry that the changes the Dem party has wrought on the US so far isn’t enough for them (or fast enough)?
I don’t think I’ll ever understand those on the left really...
I've been doing a little reading. The Annenberg Project that they served on together was supposed to shovel over $50,000,000.00 into the Chicago public school system.
The project was a huge failure as the money never quite made it into actual classrooms. Instead it went to fund a bunch of progressive pet projects...somewhat like pork, but not at the tax-payer expense. One article referred to it as "No Radical Left Behind." If nothing else it shows the massive incompetence of the administrators- Ayers and Obama.
