No, Senator. They wouldn’t go along with the program. They wouldn’t just come out limp and dead.
They were coming out alive. Born alive. Babies. Vulnerable human beings Obama, in his detached pomposity, might otherwise include among “the least of my brothers.” But of course, an abortion extremist can’t very well be invoking Saint Matthew, can he? So, for Obama, the shunning of these least of our brothers and sisters — millions of them — is somehow not among America’s greatest moral failings.......

This is a plain fact extensively reported by a number of sources.
The Democrats have tried to float the excuse that Obama was more concerned with the legal nuances of Roe vs. Wade. But Obama clearly does not have the legal acumen (surprising for a Harvard Law grad). Yes, he was editor of the Harvard Law Review, yet he never wrote an article. After graduation, he joined some two-bit law firm and represented the slum lord Tony Rezko. Then, he becomes a “community organizer.” Not your typical path for a Harvard Law grad. It seems like a waste of law school tuition, but I wonder if he paid tuition or was he there on some sort of free ride.
I know what the pattern is with dhimmirat voters.
If the candidate supports something that you know, deep down, is wrong, you simply deny that he DOES support it.
Obama has tried this - that would be infanticide, “it would be absurd to say that I support that”.
I don’t think this guy could get elected in Iran, never mind the US. Imagine the utter shamelessness of a media which is this thugs only true means of support.
Thanks for posting this. We are often told that abortion is necessary due to rape and incest, but it seems that two more pressing needs are being met with this procedure.
1)Birth control
2)The desire to have the perfect child
While Obama’s words were chilling, the idea that abortions are being performed to erase the “consequences” of a freely made decision to engage in sex or because someone does not want to give birth to an imperfect human being is more chilling that what Obama had to say about the whole thing. I hope his words follow him all the way to his defeat in November.
I think it would be interesting to gather the statistics regarding how many abortions are performed due to rape or incest versus the “other” reasons. Maybe that has been done already and someone can provide a link???
Roe v Wade opened a floodgate. I just cannot ever support anyone as the leader of my country who supports what Obama did in the Illinois state senate. He placing the “desire if the mother” over the life of another human being. Very sad.

Throughout Obama’s testimony he talks about the “physician” and his medical assessment. He makes it sound as if the “physician” in question is actually practicing medicine, which is usually to promote the health of the patient. But the truth is, Obama is talking about doctors who are abortionists. Yes, these doctors have medical degrees, but most physicians, even those who consider themselves “pro-choice” negatively view abortionists as being on the very bottom rung of the medical profession. After all, abortionist prostitute themselves and their medical training to destroy life rather than save it.

My husband noted that there is a conflict of interest here. Obama’s church has a significant relationship with this hospital where Jill Stanek worked, IIRC. At the very least, church leaders serve on the board of the hospital. These abortions are a money-maker for the hospital I would think, to be very crass, even though the hospital is a non-profit. Given a relationship between the hospital and the church, Obama should have recused himself when this came before the IL Senate.
Can you believe that the infanticide that Ms. Stannech, the nurse, experienced was at an institution called Christ Hospital?

OK wow...just read the full article with the citation...this guy is sicker then I thought...and that argument from the last quote in the article...that’s like saying we don’t need laws against murder because we can just trust that people won’t commit murder.
Obama: “if the physician discovered, after the labor had been induced, that, in fact, he made an error, or she made an error, and, in fact, that this was not a nonviable fetus but, in fact, a live child, that that physician, of his own accord or her own accord, would not try to exercise the sort of medical measures and practices that would be involved in saving that child. Now, it — if you think there are possibilities that doctors would not do that, then maybe this bill makes sense, but I — I suspect and my impression is, is that the Medical Society suspects as well that doctors feel that they would be under that obligation, that they would already be making these determinations”
And so the reason not to prohibit this black and white evil from occuring?
Obama continues, “an additional doctor who then has to be called in an emergency situation to come in and make these assessments is really designed simply to burden the original decision of the woman and the physician to induce labor and perform an abortion.”
So let’s not risk “burdening the decision to have an abortion” by protecting a baby. I mean that past “choice” which is completely irrelevant at the point we are discussing is more important then a living baby in front of us?
Obama concludes, “if these are children who are being born alive, I, at least, have confidence that a doctor who is in that room is going to make sure that they’re looked after.”
Why would you have that confidence? They are ABORTIONISTS! Obviously they have rationalized any human worth away or they couldn’t do what they are doing. So why would you have “confidence” that they will “look after” these babies?
This is sick! Does a man with two daughters really believe this? Or is this purely politics? I don’t know which would be worse.
