Things Are Getting Rough Out There
From McCain spokesman Brian Rogers, in response to the Obama campaign's new offensive on John McCain's houses:
Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses? Does a guy who worries about the price of arugula and thinks regular people “cling” to guns and religion in the face of economic hardship really want to have a debate about who’s in touch with regular Americans?
The reality is that Barack Obama’s plans to raise taxes and opposition to producing more energy here at home as gas prices skyrocket show he’s completely out of touch with the concerns of average Americans.

Wow! I’d heard about the Obama brother living in a shack, but I had not seen the picture until now. Forget a tin or tarpaper roof. It’s sans roof. It’s really more of a bin.

Suggesting Romney for VP is hardly a reason to peg someone as a troll. Besides, I thought most of us agreed to the newbies a chance - even if they are Obamites - to engage in honest debate and to explain exactly why they follow Obama.
Does a guy who's never worn the uniform of this Great Country think for a second that any (any) kind of tough talk will scare John McCain? (Naval Academy grad, Naval Aviator, POW, career Navy then career Congress.) Does a guy who potty-mouths his own country to little kids but doesn't remember how many states we have (incredibly, he said 57) and who would rather go to a gym for a workout than to visit wounded U.S. troops in a nearby hospital have ideas for "change" that could possibly be for our good?
Don't forget his comment about the honored dead in the audience that he saw during his Memorial Day remembrance...

I think they are keeping the slumlord thing in reserve. The slumlord thing is shocking, even evil.
Just heard the soundbyte of him railing against McCain and his houses, and he was going off, and I heard NO positive response from whatever audience he was crying to despite numerous breaks in his delivery, seeming to wait for some kind of responses that never came. Obama is losing it.
When you attached yourself to an activist group dedicated to refurbishing the housing in your own district AND who elected you in the hope that your own district might FINALLY prosper?
Read it again. It’s not just suggesting Romney as VP. It’s praise of McCain’s and Romney’s wealth that’s actually thinly disguised sarcasm. This is also the first thread the newbie posted to.
It's a full-size basketball court.
Barry’s brother’s hut may look luxurious compared to the 6x9 cell that Tony may be living in shortly.
It does look like add-on shacks, but it was all built at once. The barn at the end is a basketball court, in case he gets the urge to play a pickup game.
I mean we should give it a chance to err...come out of the closet as it were. A few posts, at least. Maybe we can engage it.
