and don’t forget the code pink protests at Walter reed, chanting ‘maimed for a lie’ to the wounded soldiers at the hospital.

Before speculating about the most likely candidate, let's take a few moments to review ways in which the Democratic Party has gone about "honoring" the US military in the past.

.........................evidence emerged that a small group of Army prison guards had humiliated and abused captive insurgents at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. The abuses were discovered by the Army itself, and those responsible were duly tried, convicted and sentenced. Nevertheless, leftists eager to discredit the US military seized upon these trivial events as though they constituted the most important story of the war...........................

At least I can agree with the RAT’s on this one thing!

I believe that in 2003 we were well on our way toward “Mission Accomplished”, the bulk of the Iraqi's greeted us with open arms, and suddenly Lyndee and crowd, along with Karpinski, mocked the Iraqi's, a nation and religion with a lot of pride. Suddenly we lost the moral upper ground, and the population viewed us with disdain.

I believe that Lyndee and crowd are responsible for the subsequent deaths of thousands of Americans, many thousands of Iraqi's, and possibly paved the way for Iran to flex its muscle!

I still can't get over the traitor kerry. Hanoi jane does not bother me so much because she is not hiding the fact that she is a wacko. Murtha talks down troops for personal gain. BO has not said much for service to the country but does not accept the flag and other patriotic things.

Excellent article. I say, "Never miss an opportunity to show how Democrats really feel about the military."

Please ping your lists!

Lets not forget the whackos up on the Berkley city counsel (who it can be assumed are either in the Democratic or Communist party) who tried to get the Marine recruiting office booted out of the city.

One piece of free advice to Barry: don’t begin your acceptance speech by attempting a military salute and announcing, “reporting for duty.”

Yep. Democrats have quite the record of troop support - and we can’t forget the actions of Carter or the Clintons.

Just a note based on anecdotal evidence (and my personal experience)

I joined the AF in 1978 because it was “the right thing to do”. I was and am a patriot. I felt it was my duty.

Carter was president, and my first assignment (1979-1982) was to Okinawa, working on F-4s. I was proud of what I was, but Carter’s presidency made it seem as if I had to apologize for being an American. When Reagan took office, the pride in where I was from came back. While in Germany for Clinton’s presidency, it felt more normal to apologize again.

Under dems, you feel the need to say “I’m an American, I’m sorry.” When Republicans are in office, it’s more “I’m an American, you have a problem with that?”
