Greeks and Italians are great tippers, as are affluent Latin Americans. Arabs, Israelis, French Canadians, blacks, and women of all nationalities are lousy tippers. This is what I noticed back in the days when I worked for tips.
Those were pretty much my observations. Irish men were good tippers, too.
This conservative woman tips 20%.
If I’m at one of our local places and know the waiter/waitress, it’s 25%.
Why do women always get a bad rap when it comes to tipping? I appreciate the hard work of people in the restaurant business.
I used to wait tables. Blacks are the worst. Followed by women, especially in groups. Japanese are either the best, or they stiff you. (In Japan tipping is usually not done).
