"John does what John wants to do..." If he's serious, it seems like John is almost trying to further alienate much of the Republican base, as if amnesty for all and his tepid support of more domestic crude production (yep, offshore IF the specific state agrees)aren't enough .

But Lieberman supports the war in Iraq, so what if he's pro-abortion and a lib on practically every other issue that could be named. But the Romney-haters should be pleased that maybe Joe has catapulted above Mitt on the short-list.

Oh, please - not Lieberman!

While he's more rational than other Demoncrats, I don't want him. If he doesn't put someone decent in there as VP, I will not vote for McPain. I have no more patience for this nonsense.

The up-side would be the Republican Governor in CT would be able to appoint an “R” to his seat. That would really frost the Dems....

If we believed that everyone was on the short list who the media spoon fed us as being on it, the short(sic) list would be 200 names long and include the waiter at Denny’s where McCain ate last week.

As I noted on a related thread:

...if McCaine goes with Joe, he loses my vote. I see no reason to vote for a 70-something Republican candidate, who apparently couldn't find a single Republican, anywhere in the entire country, to serve as his 'backup.' If McCaine goes with Joe, & passes away while in office, he would have just reversed the election results, & thrown the White House to the D@mocrats.

Don't get me wrong - I would still cast my votes for other Republicans (meaning I would not sit out the election). I just wouldn't vote for McCaine/Lieberman. Guess they can plan on 'independents' filling in for me...

All this does is make a third party viable or elects Hillary Clinton after she "removes" Obama.

That really would be the final straw. I would hate not to vote for president at all, but I could not vote for him if he decided to groom what amounts to a liberal Democrat for a future presidency.

My wife says she won’t vote for McCain anyway. Maybe she’ll change her mind. I’m still deciding, but Lieberman would pretty well clinch it against McNasty.

Let’s just hope this is a stupid anonymous adviser and a malicious press trying to cause trouble. Or maybe they plan to go with Mitt and are floating this so the base will breathe a sigh of relief when it turns out (slightly) better than we feared.

That's the $64,000 question - who will Juan pick for his VP? A lot of people will vote for him no matter who he chooses, then there are some who are waiting to see who he picks (which is crucial, I think - considering his age & health concerns).

What's really sad is that no one has any idea if the man is going to pick a Republican or a Democrat??? This is what the party has come to??? I really believe these are the last, waning years for the GOP.

John ain’t THAT stupid... but it is nice to confuse the heck out of Obama’s strategists... I think Obamamesiah has to pick out a VP before the Democrat convention... and if John is picking folks all over the map... the Obamamists must be going nuts...

He just seems to not want to win doesn't he? Every time I say "Ok, I am going to vote for McCain because we can't afford to have Obambi in the WH, McCain does something, or says something, that really, really irritates me as a conservative.

I think it is because he knows that most conservatives will vote for him because of Obamaosama and he feels he can do anything he wants and get elected.

Yesterday, we had the Gang of 10 and that idiotic move by five Republicans, including McCain’s shadow, Lindsey Graham, and today more on the possibility of a liberal Democrat as running mate.

Wouldn’t that be wild: the Dem. VP candidate from 2000 becomes the Republican VP candidate for 2008. Having this sort of garbage floating around serves no worthwhile purpose, and if McCain is serious, then the guy has a severe shortage of common sense, among other problems.

Clever boy, Juan. Liebeman and Cantor on short lists, or, at least that’s what the news wants us to believe. Romney, too.

But the Romney-haters should be pleased that maybe Joe has catapulted above Mitt on the short-list.

Um. No.

While both are liberals, Romney would be a better choice than Alf. Although, just like Cantor, Alf would attract Jewish voters who would be (absurdly) inclined to vote for nObama.

What bothers me about your statement is that because a Freeper has conservative values and advocates them against a proposed liberal candidate (Romney), he or she is being labeled a "hater". That is right out of the demoncrat playbook my FRiend.

McCain-Lieberman 2008!

I am SOOOOOOO there!

A perfect selection to wrap up that elusive 30% of voters who actually decide elections.

Add a dash of a Black-Militant Muslim-Christian...albeit one espousing Black Liberation Ideology....and we have this headline on November 5th, 2008

McCain Elected the 44th President of the United States in Reagan-like landside.

NOTE:

whatever be your goal.

and not upon the hole!
