The up-side would be the Republican Governor in CT would be able to appoint an “R” to his seat. That would really frost the Dems....

Oh boy! You mean a Lincoln Chafee kind of Republican?
How super!! /s
True, but the last R senator we had was Lowell P.'LP Wacky' Weicker, a RINO who could make Dodd look conservative. LP Wacky was one of the few R I ever voted against - in his Senate rack against Lieberman and when he wanted to screw up CT as Governor. (In 1994, I voted for Tom Scott - he would've repealed the INCOME TAX!!)
Psst, Rell, see if Gary Franks would like to be Senator.

If McCain/Lieberman wins.... I’m surprised McCain is doing as well as he is. If he thinks adding Lieberman helps him win, he nuts and deserves to lose.
You have made an excellent point.
Another R senator would go a long way in helping constitute a majority in the Senate.
I think Lieberman is an honorable man--I don't agree with him on much but I think he is one of the most honest men in the senate.
