You may have a valid point. This whole thing DOES confirm that we will play the stupid enviroweenie game until it REALLY begins to affect our wallets. Now that our pockets have been picked by ham-fisted thugs, I believe that, as a nation, we are re-thinking all the enviroweenie nonsense.

I have no problem with wake-up calls and we certainly needed this one. Hopefully, one long-term result that may arise from this issue is that we will begin to seriously explore clean, alternative energy sources. Oil must now be considered as a short-term solution that is needed to sustain us in the near term, but for long-term, it must be something OTHER than oil or bio-fuels.

I just called Jim Oberweis office (R- running against Bill Foster in the fall- IL) Suggested he make a visit to D.C. as a “tourist” to see 1st hand what is going on and talk to some of the congressman there.
