I have a question. If his mom was American then isn’t all this kind of moot about where he was born?

Bingo. Welcome to the world of real politics, Hillary Clinton -style. Remember, it ain't over until the fat lady is nominated.

"If things get really bad, maybe he isnt a lock for the nom anymore."

Graceful understatement?

By now all the big guns in the DNC know that their touted 'nominee' is deeply damaged goods. Hillary is playing this smart, by campaigning for Obama, so she can't be nabbed for exposing Obama's fatal flaws.

According to the delegate counts I've seen, only 89 "Obama" (of over 2100) delegates need to defect to deny him the number needed for the nomination on the first ballot. If that happened and the Edwards delegates went for Her Thighness, she would be able to win the nomination on the first ballot. If the Edwards delegates did not go with her, then it would be thrown to a second ballot.

Not that I think it will happen, but I do suspect Hill is working on it.
