Pelosi has been manipulating the Rules ever since she became Speaker in ways that have left the Republican leadership stunned and immobile. Now she has issued a challenge and I hope that Republican strategists all over the country are studying ways to thwart her.

I think that he really should let the House handle this. They are earning their stripes and while I believe that he supports them (heck, Eric Cantor went on the VP list right away, and rightly so), they need to score this goal.
I feel kinda like ctdonath2. I’d be happy to pour fuel on the fire if I thought there was really something there to ignite it. The repubs have been spitting on us for years and telling us it was rain.
Pardon me if I’m a bit cynical but these are politicians and this is an elecion year.

The media helped at that time, but they are a negative now.

When I see a Rep that went and got his kids arriving back in DC at 3am, I tend to believe they are serious.
Making calls, and asking pointed questions to determine whether something viable is happening. As nobody will answer the simple question of “how many reps are there?”, I’m having my doubts.

Especially when some fool says something about McCain, having a great counter here is essential, being McCain is so spunky their claims against him fail.
