Just spoke to her staff..she is still there on the house floor:)
I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
Value is the perceived balance of Supply and Demand
IOW, not actual supply and demand, but what appears to be the balance between S&D. That's why certain rumors tend to raise the price for a while. Also why Congress and the President TALKING about removing the government obstacles to domestic drilling helped to lower the price by 15% in a short period of time. Were there other factors? Yes, but . . .
Who voted and how they voted on this bill
http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2008/roll537.xml
No one actually knows exactly what day to day supply is. Nor demand. And there are, as you say, other factors. Rumors of war, famine, hurricanes, etc...etc.
FRegards,
We all work together, the name of the game is rat extermination.
AGREED.
Doing several things at the moment.
thanks.
Thats rather historic... lol
Thanks
We need an Glocktoberfest somewhere...
Beware the Ides of August by FOX News Crews by Chad Pergram
This was historic. Because live video (and rarely private video) has never been streamed from the House chamber. Ever. But we did that today. On FOX.
This is a battle thats close to my heart. My first job in Washington was at C-SPAN. There, C-SPAN founder Brian Lamb has wrestled with Congress for nearly 30 years to allow cameras into the House and Senate chambers. Lambs always argued the cameras shouldnt be controlled by the government. Let private news organizations shoot the video like we do at press conferences and hearings and interviews we conduct.
** rolling eyes **
...A Glocktoberfest...
Another time my friend and when your ready.
Maybe, but you stood up for freedom as you always do Star! That’s hardly “nothing”!
From my standpoint I have been trying to urge pubbies to do something to show they are not afraid to take strong action on important issues and Friday they did!
Was it enough probably not, but was it an excellent start? IMHO, Yes, unequivocally!
That 5 week recess also gives Pelosi 5 weeks to get her worker bees back in line in the hive.
“Did you know...that most commodities traders lose money? About only 1/3 make money.”
I’m not surprised. I heard a radio caller say that storage for oil speculation costs 10% per year. It would be easy to lose money. Only the ‘Big Boys’ should try oil speculation, people who know the market inside out. And even they should hedge their investments to some degree.
“Newt said in his interview with Hannity this afternoon, the adjournment vote was 213-212”
Yep. Newt’s been a hero on this issue too. Drill here, drill now! I thought it compelling the way Newt said that each vote to adjourn was a critical one. Every SINGLE one [of those 213] is under the gun for high gas prices.
Haven’t seen any FREEPMAIL FROM YOU YET.????
Well...one can make money in commodities....you just better be very disciplined in many areas. There are some "tricks" to the trade also.......
